[Highlight] Foul called on Kuzma (on the floor) as Brunson hits the ridiculous 3 (that won’t count)
I’m not gonna complain but rule of cool dictates that’s continuation for sure, refs don’t respect sick plays smh.
The NBA needs a new rule that dictates one per team rule of cool play should be allowed to count after a huddle
My homer bias says it should count.
I mean he should at least get like one or two points for that
I thought so on the first angle too, second one is pretty clear it’s on the floor
We scored 9 unanswered points this quarter so I’m okay with it for now
Edit: Okay NOW I am not okay with it
I mean this is almost identical to the Cade foul at the end of the Boston game the other night. I hate Tony Brothers and would never side with him, but if they wanted to make it consistent it should count.
This game is must see TV, super entertaining
I screamed so oddly it sounded like I climaxed
Let’s be real, most Knicks fans did climax.
Do you get paid for uploading all these clips
This is clearly how the NBA wants officials to call these plays, and I don’t understand why. Why does the NBA want more intentional fouls? There’s no other situation where this wouldn’t be considered continuation.
If a guy managed to foul between dribbles, I get it. But the ball is already in Brunson’s hands here when contact is made. The same thing has happened to CP3 and Jokic multiple times. Why would you want to encourage more stoppages?
Watch the replay slowly, kuzma’s got both his arms on Brunson as his dribble is hitting the floor
Having your arm on somebody isn’t immediately a foul. It’s not a foul until the player’s speed, quickness, balance, or rhythm is impacted. As I’m typing this, Luka just had both arms on Brandon Williams as he fought over a screen, and no foul was called because Williams wasn’t actually impacted.
If they called a foul for the level of contact being made before Brunson has gathered the ball in any other situation, Kuzma would be going crazy and Doc Rivers would be making his Doc Rivers face.
When you’re using both arms to clamp around a player, that’s a foul
It’s literally while the ball’s out of his hand
Continuation is applied different depending on the type of shot for some reason. For jump shots, which I assume they are treating this as, the offensive player needs to have the ball and/head moving in an upward direction while in possession of the ball.
It’s close whether brunson has both hands on the ball, but he definitely hasn’t started that upward motion that would dictate a shot. Only on shots where a player is driving to the basket do they give continuation on the extra steps on the pickup. It follows the same kind of convention of the swipe through foul that was so popular for a while. They didn’t want that to be a shooting foul.
Especially with such little time left. Like he’s clearly going to shoot, so it should be a shooting foul.
people call brunson a bad watch smdh
Yeah. that’s on the floor.
If that was Shai, Luka, or Giannis, that would have counted.
They won’t count this but they’ll count that self pass KAT did against the heat like 3 weeks ago lmao this is why I don’t watch games anymore just highlights 🤷🏻♂️
