We’re about 20% through the season and Austin Reaves is 13th in points and 11th in assists. Has he made the leap to consensus all star?
I admit I’m biased as a Lakers fan, but Reaves’ production is really hard to ignore this year. He’s not even a full point behind Jalen Brunson for 6th in ppg, and half an assist behind Stephon Castle for 6th in assists. He’s consistently been able to lead a very effective offence entirely on his own, he’s integrated seamlessly when sharing the court with Luka and now LeBron, and he’s having clearly his best defensive season since his rookie year.
At what point is he just kinda at that level now where he’s in the mix for top 25-35 and a consistent all star candidate, cause he’s pretty locked in as an all star right now in my (biased) opinion. What do y’all think?
