JJ Redick to his credit mentioned it last season that you need at least 3 ball handlers on the floor vs. OKC at all times because the aggressive ball pressure we bring.

You saw it tonight kind of with the Nugs in the clutch, the ball was either in Jokic or Murray’s hands and that was it. There wasn’t any flow to the offense. Jokic just bailed out the nuggets with a few massive 3s.

Dude, can we stop pretending like his team is bad? He was one of those dogshit defenders this game. He gave up points left and right throughout the game. Murray is an all-star calibre player, Aaron Gordon is probably one of the most valuable side pieces in the entire league, Tim Hardaway has been on an absolute heater from 3, Valančiūnas is an elite backup bigman, and they have several good defenders around them in Watson, Braun, and Brown.

He isn’t doing some insane carry job, they’re an amazing team. You don’t need to talk about his supporting cast like they’re terrible.

Our old guy Tommy Heinsohn (RIP) was the super biased one, but he’s a Celtics legend (former player, HOF, 8 championships) so the homer-ism kinda makes sense. And there was Mike Gorman (another C’s legend in the booth for 40+ years). Heinsohn died and Gorman just retired so they were replaced with Scalabrine and Drew Carter.

Scalabrine used to be super biased but he started to tone it down last season, and now he spends most of the game making inside jokes about our team with Drew and the other half actually being really complimentary of other teams, usually their rookies.

Nuggets are already stretched thin without AG and Braun, but they put comically far too much on Jamal and Jokic’s plates on the second night of a back to back to deliver them a win yet again.

THJ is actually useless if he’s not hitting his shots, Bruce Brown’s jumper is going to be a MAJOR concern against good teams, Spencer Jones only accumulated fouls, and Val was massively underwhelming in his 4th quarter stint. You could tell Jamal had no legs late in the game and the offense devolved into “Jokic save us please” for 8 minutes which he tried to do but he nor anyone else could buy a stop on the other end.

Russ and co. did a great job taking command of this game in the 4th and wearing out an already tired Denver by keeping up the pace.

Westbrook played way too much in the clutch due to injuries last year. Ironically I believe he would’ve benefited a lot from the added depth this offseason. It’s as easy as benching him when he’s playing bad. I just don’t see Julian Strawther or Pickett being more than 3rd stringers.
