I feel like Russ has never had good 3-point shooters around him outside of harden and Durant near the end of that OKC lineup. Imagine what could have been if he’d been the one to end up with the warriors instead of Kevin. You dudes are still talking about box score stats in 2025 like it means anything if the team isn’t winning. Russ has always been a stat stuffer, but he’s super chaotic, super inconsistent, and makes extremely poor basketball decisions. That’s why he’s not been able to stay on a roster.

The Clippers or Mavs should have went after Russ. Clippers have no life in their team and it’s just James Hardrn vs the opp. Russ could help a lot and CP3 is obviously useless. Russ could give them 20-25 mins a night seeing this level he’s playing and help Harden a lot. He’s be fantastic on Dallas to helping Flagg develop by getting him the ball, throwing lobs to their centers and AD, and then coulda played a backup role once Kyrie returned.

But nope, teams felt he sucked.

Top tier contenders probably would rather not have him, but teams with genuine weaknesses that he can fulfill heavily should’ve went after him and offered him a chance at a nice role

I’d say beating one of the best teams in the league in their house is pretty damn good and the loss might matter at the end of the season when it comes down to Playoff seeding for Denver. Russ could be having decent impact off the bench for a Playoff team. I’m disappointed he’s not on the Bucks tbh or any of the other teams that lack the playmaking (Dallas).
