He really does seem like the kind of high level Swiss Army knife player that would excel on any team. Not outstanding at any one thing but just does everything really well. 

wizards had a better shooting version of franz and they traded him away (avdija)

edit: i’m not tryna say avdija is better than franz i’m just saying they have a similar playstyle

That’s disgusting. Of course butterfly effect and all that, but they’re a fucking powerhouse, and we can point out a lot of opportunities they got unlucky on. Franz and Sengun, muscala screwing them out of Maxey, topic injured for the year, Poku never developing.

Yeah, this team’s offensive efficiency would improve a lot if they had Franz as the lead player and Paolo as the off ball scorer more. Kind of like Siakam on the Pacers, it’s fine for him to be on ball sometimes, but he defers to the playmakers. Paolo is a great bucket getter, but the team as a whole undeniably runs better with Franz at the helm. Paolo shouldn’t be playing like Melo if he can’t shoot like Melo, but I think part of that is bad coaching as well

Paolo is built like lebron but plays like Carmelo with a much worse jumper for some godforsaken reason. Horrible player to watch.

Franz is better but IMO both of them desperately need to improve their 3 point shooting for the Magic to take the next step. The Magic offense can’t be running like this in 2025
