James Harden postgame interview on the court after scoring 55 points. He ends the interview with “Basketball is life”
Free James Harden
Where do i get one
I don‘t think that’s allowed anymore
https://youtu.be/61TMtH3Qw4s?si=2uqzFVhLAeXIqHAn
Ed O Bannon is one of the most important Americans ever. This charade would have kept on going on & on & on
Or at least the video games
The video games case was the doorstop to hold the door open for everything else
It was never allowed! Starting Price was always advertised on the handbill! It was an honorable and noble profession
With a purchase of one James harden of equal or greater value
You need to have a team
We need him to save us from the Thunder having a top 5 pick
Honestly I’d rather the Clippers traded him to a contender and OKC get a top 5 pick than to have him be stuck carrying this team to the 10 seed.
Send him back to Houston
I second this motion
What if the gang all met back up in Houston to knock off the Thunder?!
Absolute cinema
Don’t wanna rock the boat in Houston, it’s all about the notion in the ocean
God that team would be nasty with Harden
We can’t unfortunately, no contracts to trade
Lowkey as a neutral fan, I wanna see him go somewhere and contend man he clearly still has elite level basketball left in him. At this rate he will probably get hurt trying to carry these guys.
He will get hurt, he was so tired in the playoffs last year and everyone is just saying the same choke bullshit when the man plays 50 minutes a game because we don’t have a backup point guard. There is no playoffs for this team without James.
Pick aside, it really is a shame watching Harden bust his ass carrying a doomed team instead on being somewhere competitive
Clippers were pretty good last year wtf happened ? I get that Powell big loss so far but on paper Clippers should be good speacily when Harden play like this.
They started last year with
They had a scrappy defensive team with just enough offense between Harden, Norm, and Zu to be competitive with barely enough shooting off the bench to have below average spacing.
They lost Norm, Mann, Coffey and KPJ from that rotation. Norm, elite scorer. Coffey, decent but streaky floor spacer. Mann and KPJ, active defenders who could handle the ball.
They replaced them with Bogi, Beal, Collins, Lopez, and Chris Paul. All too old or injured. Or, in Collins’ case, clueless.
Of the role players they kept, Dunn has fallen off a cliff. He was one of the best perimeter defenders in the league last year. He’s been just average this year. DJJ is hurt. Batum was old last year and is another year older.
Last year’s roster needed more rebounding, ball handling, and floor spacing. You can kind of see what they were trying to do by acquiring Bogi, Beal, Collins, Lopez, and Chris Paul. The problem is they created new problems that they just can’t solve.
Bro. Where the heck have you been?
So tired of all the lame ass takes over on our sub. So nice to see someone who actually gets it like this.
If I see another post about how Bogi needs to shoot more or Kawhi is the problem, I swear I’m gonna lose it lol.
or Kawhi is the problem,
I mean, this isn’t a bad take. His lack of availability and his impact on the game when he has been playing is a problem.
His impact when he plays is literally the only reason he’s clearly NOT the problem. What are you even on about?
Kawhi and CP3 are neck and neck for the highest win % of anyone that’s played over 150 games for the franchise.
But I’m sure you have some made up bias version of what “making an impact” is that doesn’t include actual win/loss record or individual stats. FOH
kawhi. beal. djj all injured. collin’s been OK but looks like management fucked up giving away powell too
That and Bogi was really good for us in the RS, and he’s completely washed now.
I agree
Clippers should sell him high, win-win situation for both
Send him to the Bay, you can have Kuminga and Podz
imagine harden amd curry man
Keep James Harden and get him help. Don’t give OKC another lottery pick
With purchase of James Harden of equal or greater value?
Is Houston sure they don’t want him?
They clearly could use him
Any contender could really
OKC is better without him. Maybe the Nuggets too. Literally every other team is clearly better with Harden.
Considering the Injury history some of the nuggets Key starters have, I think James would actually be a great fit. Only issue is him and Murray as a defensive backcourt
Murray is decent, and if we have braun, ag, and Watson available it could be fine
Harden doesn’t lift the Nuggets offensive floor, Jokic already does that. Harden doesn’t fit their off ball action. Harden gives the Nuggets another player who they need to cover for on defense.
Harden doesn’t lift the Nuggets offensive floor, Jokic already does that.
I mean their non-Jokic minutes, as limited as they are, probably wouldn’t be the absolute disaster that they usually are.
High IQ Players make it work
Harden can play decent defense when he doesn’t have to be the offense.
Neither of those teams get worse by just adding James Harden. He is too great of a playmaker. If the argument is that the price they’d have to pay to trade for him would make them worse, sure.
OKC’s greatest strength is their defensive invulnerability. Putting Harden on the floor gives offenses something to attack. That is all the best offenses need, just one weakness, one flaw, to exploit. The offensive improvement for adding Harden isn’t worth the drop down from one of the greatest defenses ever to merely a great defense.
Harden doesn’t fit with the Nuggets off ball movement, and Jokic already is a better offensive floor and ceiling raiser than Harden. Harden is another flawed defender they would need to cover for.
Someone else bought up how the Lakers already gave 3 ballhandlers with similar strengths and weaknesses.
I believe he could set a new NBA offensive efficiency record if he goes to the Nuggets. Harden can give Joker plenty of rest. After all, he’s 30 years old.
I think you’re stuck in thinking that if a team had him, they’d have to play him 35+ minutes. In the hypothetical situation of just adding James Harden to a team for free, no team gets worse. None. That said, teams wouldn’t all use him the same way
Lol what? Harden would easily be the Nuggets 2nd best player. Imagine Harden and Jokic playing pick and roll together.
Now imagine them defending the pick and roll together
Lakers already have 3 ball handling playmakers that can shoot off the bounce. We, however, could use more rotation level 3&D players, but every team wants that so it is what it is ig
Just so you know OG is not available!
I don’t think the Lakers would be any better with Harden.
This would be the best timeline, he’s a Houston legend if anyone deserve it it’s him. He literally spent his prime trying to get them past the best team ever.
Pretty sure he raises his family in Houston in the offseason since his son was born here.
i need the storybook ending
Does KD want him?
I think him and kd are cool still, I beleive there may have been some rumblings about him going to the suns over the clippers but they didn’t have the assets.
Unfortunately Udoka doesnt seem to like him
Udoka chose FVV over him when it was perfect. Which is whatever right, but for HOU to even contemplate adding Harden it requires FVV to agree to a trade, which from all the noise seems to not be the case.
HOU won’t trade Adams, so they’re limited to like Capela and I guess Tari, but HOU fans won’t want to lose Tari. That’s just the only tradeable salary really.
If the choice is giving up Eason I’d definitely do it
I mean it would probably require FVV to agree to even entertain anything and no idea why FVV would say yes to go to post Harden Clippers.
It would take FVV+ Capela + 2 of Adams, DFS, Tari to even get salary number needed.
I would love Harden back, but it seems like a complete gut of the depth.
Is Harden - Amen - KD - Bari - Sengun + Reed + Okogie + 1 of DFS/Adams/Tari enough to win it all? Idk if I buy the defense just enough. Maybe if it they could keep 2 of DFS, Adams, Tari, but they can’t.
he doesn’t want anyone to threaten his big dog status in houston
he deserves one last shot :(
Clippers and Sac could make the most funniest thing come into existence.
🙅♀️🙅♀️
Not going to pretend to understand the cap rules but he needs to be a Knick
All they would need to do is trade an injured FVV, a pick and maybe another young player (Reed would probably have to go).
It would be stupid not to do it
I want him but trading for him won’t be possible
Heard they might need a playmaker
Man I would like him back one day but I think we’re doing really good for now with Sengun, Durant and Amenz I don’t want to mess with what we’ve got going on even though James is still one of the best offensive guys in the league.
casually dropping 55 on a Saturday afternoon
I guess that’s why the Clips call him Saint James
in St Harden we trust
St. James The Problem
That’s also the name of a strip club in Houston
I heard they actually have good food but it’s too far
St. James is honestly such a raw nickname
Only thing stopping the Thunder from collecting another infinity stone
Someone in the gambling sub posted that he was partying til 6AM !
Old man at the park type game.
Dani Rojas
“Hello my beautiful coaches!”
Beard kinda looks like JVG too lol
They’re both out there doing it for the love of the game
He likes to give joy away for free.
Far Cry 6?
Ted Lasso
People often talk about how weird the NBA is gonna feel once Bron, Steph, and KD hang it up, but Harden is right there in that group imo. He’s in the same age range and it feels like I’ve been watching this dude forever. He can still ball out too.
He just doesn’t get talked about since he doesn’t have a ring, though his prowess and influence on the game is at their level as well.
harden’s influence on the game is almost up there with curry’s. he basically moved the game away from the spurs/warriors motion offense and brought back iso-ball cause he was actually efficient enough to make it work on high usage rates
He was in the netflix starting 5 show at least
I honestly think Harden has been the best old head this year.
Almost 100%
I’d make it a tie between Curry and Harden. They’ve both been balling.
He led the league in win shares for 4 straight years that’s just straight up domination, only three other guys since 80’s have done that MJ, LeBron and Jokic.
Never forget people call him hitler just because he was putting bta on thier favourite teams
The belt this man used to give teams back in the day.
60 point triple double. He’s an asshole dammit
I think Magic, Hawks and Knicks got the worst of it
Wasn’t that on New Year’s Eve, or was that the Knicks?
He was kind of a terrorist but people still underrate him, he was a legit engine and one of the best we’ve ever seen
We’re getting James Harden BTA17 before GTA6
Hes so special
Elite bucket getter
Also plays every fucking game.
Seems to be the reason he’s fried by the playoffs
A living legend man!
Get him on a playoff team please
Uhh do you know that okc has their pick right? do you want okc to 6 peat? Because there’s a possibility that the clippers become a mid team rather than a terrible one when kawhi comes back, preventing okc having a lottery pick.
It’s actually crazy throughout Harden’s career he has been criticized for not being a poor sport about losing and just going about his business after the season was over.
Just because a guy doesn’t cry and throw a fit after he has blown another game 7 does not mean he doesn’t care about basketball or winning.
nobody who didn’t care a great deal about basketball could ever put up the kind of performances harden did in his prime, the narrative was always insanely stupid
The ecstacy of victory, the agony of defeat. He’s been around long enough to embrace the beauty of both sides of the coin
Stoicism is cool
Has anyone ever had a career resurgence at age 36 like this? I’m not sure I even wanna call it that given his usage has spiked and his role has completely changed with how that team is now. But holy shit, has anyone ever settled right back into a high usage, scoring role at that age and transitioned seamlessly like this?
I know it’s only been 15 games but
Highest ever ppg at 35+ years old are Curry and Harden this season, both over 28ppg. Rest of the top 10 includes LeBron, Kd, Karl Malone, MJ and Kareem various seasons.
Ppg will likely go down as the season continues, but LeBron averaged 30 at 37 and averaged 29 at 38. So curry and harden do not have the highest PPG record at 35+.
Two years ago, Harden averaged 16 points per game. I thought he was past his prime. I couldn’t believe he could still score 50 points.
didn’t he just come off a playoff performance with philly where he scored 40+ with ease?
45 and 42 in their two Ws. But I wouldn’t call it “with ease” considering the level he was at in between and after. In games 2 and 3, both Ls, he shot about 50% but his FG attempts were way down. If it was with ease we woulda seen 20+ FG attempts in more games in that series. The game 5 and 6 Ls were ugly.
An aging body is a hell of a thing to fight.
No disrespect intended, he fought.
This is false you are omitting lebron
Harden just does that. It’s scary man
I’d wait and see how long it holds up. I’m guessing a couple of guys, and I won’t say that like it’s common, but a couple of guys have probably done similar for 20-25 games. But the body struggles to keep it up at this age.
Jordan was a different situation, but we saw what happened to him when he came out of retirement. He had it together for a certain amount of time before it was too much for his body to keep up with his drive to be great.
maybe LeBron James after his nagging groin injury finally healed
Harden was always good, he just wasn’t getting enough touches and shots with Kawhi on the floor before
This guy could be on the sixers still instead of PG 💀
Harden is life
I think I heard Doc Rivers on a podcast talk about Harden and he said something like the guy just loves to play basketball and wants to be out there. But I think some think because of his sort of loose style of play that somehow he doesn’t care. Hoping he gets traded to a contender. He gets way too much shit.
This man on the clippers heavily carrying - damn 😬
Sixers should have kept this guy over PG and Embiid.
Straight baller!!
Bro, I think I will cry… it feels like 2017 again and James is dropping 50 every few days
All we’re missing is Sim888 and those Houston Rocket memes.
^(* - Valid yearly until April.)
*Occasionally valid until early - mid May,
3rd player to score 55 this season. Many players averaging over 30 points and a couple more closing in.
3 team trade. Harden to the rockets, lamelo to the clippers, and every pick, swap, reed Sheppard and I guess FVV to make the money work to CLT.
As a Hornets fan, I nominate the team for G League relegation. Sick of this shit man
The work I put in individually, I do it for the entire team. that’s real #13
Harden getting that second Dad strength buff
Him and Durant really playing for the love of the game.
Sigh I would love to see a steph and James backcourt…
Reporter performance about as good as Hardens. Great interview
absolutely correct
no shade to sideline reporters, they’re doing they’re job, it’s clearly what the networks want them to do.
but what is that team of uncs learning from james harden at at this point?
There have been so many injuries that Ty’s had to use the young guys for legit minutes.
Kobe Sanders started a couple days ago.
this is what i get for commenting about teams i don’t follow
It’s a fair assumption to make. Ty has not been known to give youth much rotation time haha
Have you seen his toes??!
Ohmygoodnessnoooooooooooo
It’s amazing how KD, Russ, and Harden are all still doing everything they possibly can to keep balling even in their late 30s. And all 3 of them have been team jumping to keep getting their chance. Just unreal how all 3 of them are absolute basketball lifers. Respect to all 3 of them. It probably won’t happen, but it’d be amazing if all 3 retired at the same time and entered the hall together. 3 of the most unique and gifted players of all time.
It’s not even about the money for them anymore
He only took 2 whole turns today?
He looks tired. Just their last game I saw him staring into nothing😭
He has always looked like that lol
Not sure if it’s modern medicine or better training/nutrition but we are seeing players be productive much later in life than we ever have before
I love harden bro
Poor guy. Kawahi left him for dead
DoorDash gonna hate me by the end of the season
Inshallah
my fucking goat man
55 points in only 2 turns too.
I’m old enough to remember that T shirt
Houston should try get james and kyrie, run it back
I love it and I love free James harden.
Danny Rojas disagrees :)
Please come back to Houston
He’s kinda got the Aaron Rodger’s eyes
Come home dawg, we forgive you.
Goat!
Never knew he had Romulan ears.
Ball is life, yes.
Dani rohas energy
Legend
They got my boy looking like yoshimitsu smh
DANI ROJAS
Gotta give him his flowers. No days off. He doesn’t believe in load management always playing.
but will disappear in playoffs,
When he was first traded from OK to Houston, there was a Houston Sports radio guy that said, it Harden is a great player, but he will never get you a championship, he was right, always the hot hand during the season but during the playoffs he disappears
James “Dani Rojas” Harden
Football is life
His defense is death. The only person I’ve seen lose a man more often is Carrie fucking Bradshaw.
Basketball Dani Rojas
Nets fans crying rn.
I don’t know what it is, but I’ll always hate that dude.
The way he talks, looks, shoots the ball, dribbles, the way he draws calls.
That stat line is BEAST though can’t lie.
He could end up with 10 times more points than anyone else , and I’d still not like him.
I hate him like I hate Tom Brady.
Prolific scorer, doesn’t matter that they played the Hornets
Now…when do the strip clubs open?
Lmao
I don’t know if LA buys out his contract but he’s been on a tear this year and they should let him have a chance at a ring along with Paul. Harden is playing like he did during his old Houston days. Houston does need a PG or put him on Golden State next to the Butler, Green, and Curry or I think Phoenix could be a good team for him also.
that last question was asking for too much
The playoffs are part of basketball
James just come to the Lakers PLEASE
Really don’t want to hate on Harden because personally I like him and especially after a performance like this , but the problem is that at this point in his career - the best place for him on a contender is too be a third option, but he is making too much money for it. I mean , he can be your second best player in the reg season , but when it comes to the playoffs James isn’t the one who you want to be your second option.
Why does James always have the far eyed look? Brother you didn’t serve in Nam
you see the clippers games? that’s a battleground you don’t wanna be apart of
Bro from Compton lol same middle school as Nipsey… He grew up quick
That’s fair
