I actually think it’s one of the reasons why he’s lasted so long. LeBron is a genetic anomaly, but other taller than average individuals tend to not age very well in the joints. Chris Paul would have basketball wear and tear, but not nearly as much as lankier folks.

I can recall Dirk running up and down the court looking outright painful his last several years.

This is not what it happened, Ayton did a decent job on him. The problem we didn’t had any backup bigs and Ayton was always in foul trouble due to soft calls.

It was a very long shift after that. I never would have thought I’d be a CP3 fan but I’ll always appreciate what he did by signing here and taking our young core under his wing.

Hornets CP3 was his physical prime. I think Clippers CP3 was the player that could contribute most to winning games.

The earlier portion of his prime was in New Orleans, but most of it in Los Angeles. He was only a Hornet until he was age 25.

By comparison - guys like Cade Cunningham, Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, etc. will be playing their age 25 seasons next year.

CP3 was precocious. He was great immediately so he had a longer prime than most players, but he probably played about four of his prime years with New Orleans and about six of them with Los Angeles before he had to slow down to conserve his body.
