Healthy Blazers are probably a playoff team. They’ve had some crazy fumbles this season. Every team loses close games, but they could easily have a couple more wins with just marginally better execution.

The consolation for them is that a lot of teams in the west are losing so many games that they’ll be out of the play-in picture soon. Sac, NO, and LAC are crashing hard. At a minimum, you’d think Portland can lock up one of the play-in spots.

As fun as Utah have been, I think they will pull the plug and embrace the tank at some point. So you really just have to worry about a team like Memphis or Dallas finding their groove.

You should man, Deni Avdija is a legit stud. All-star minimum this year. Simmons is prone to exaggeration but he was right when he said Avdija started the season at an all-NBA level. And your defense is just dawg on top of dawg on top of dawg. Your team is fucking awesome and they’re (mostly) young so you can probably still expect some significant improvement.

It’s just sports, friend, nothing worth crashing out over. Nobody on these teams will crash out for you, after all.

I thought Podz played okay. He did a decent job of attempting to stay in front of Avdija, and managed to get a few steals on defense. Not much else you can ask, especially when he hit some shots on the offensive end.

Moody though, it felt like one cross and the Blazers were scoring, either from Avdija hitting his shot, or someone else getting the putback because the Warriors can’t box out because they were collapsing on Avdija.

Felt like Moody got played off the floor, while Hield could barely see the floor because everyone and their mother could see that train wreck. Not having a big to cleanup on defense is costing the Warriors dearly.

He can literally play all five positions on the floor, and has. Small-ball center on the occasions they go small, power forward/small forward as his natural positions, started as shooting guard when Sharpe was out, and point guard now that the four PGs on the roster are out. He is the Swiss Army knife of the league.

There have been a few players that pretend they could play all those position, and a few more that “can guard 1-4” or “3-5”. I’ve never heard of any that do as a matter of course, rather than a pretend show.

I wouldn’t defend us past the line either.

Rob is better at getting back to contest at the three point line. Clingan is improving in a lot of areas, but his perimeter defense probably needs the most work out of all aspects. He is more mobile this season, so he will likely get better over time.
