LeBron talks about Bronny moving out: “He’s not a resident anymore, so we don’t talk as much”
I mean, obviously. You can’t be in your bedroom with a girl, then your dad barges in wanting to talk about pick and roll defense with you
Guess we had different upbringings
Son, have I ever talked to you about the picks and the rolls?
Dad, we’re kind of busy right now
“When a guy’s bangin you…”
You throw it back
put the D on them hard
Always hand check.
When your man is banging with you down low you can’t let him get that deep position. If you let him have that kind of penetration he’s going to go to the hole every time down.
What sub am I in again?
Whichever one you wanna be in ;)
ugh… c’mon
“And you can feel his body.”
I didn’t have a dad same as Bron, almost brings a tear to my eye to think about how much he suppprts and loves his kid
Yeah, I actually want to see him have a long career in the NBA as maybe a sixth man or something now. I still think nepotism got him there so soon, but he wouldn’t be the first teenager drafted into the NBA that didn’t develop into a superstar. He’s also overcome the heart condition so it’s not like he doesn’t want it and is playing the nepotism stereotype. I still get why people would hate him though
Hating the dude for any of what they do is uncalled for. Nepotism got him drafted yes. It’s not like he actively claims he’s better than anyone because of who his dad is though. From a media perspective, he’s about as humble as someone could be considering the situation he was born into. No matter the excuses said, they hate him because he is LeBron’s son and that’s weird behavior.
Exactly, this guy is talking about some ‘girl in your room’ haha wtf
Austin Rivers?!?!
Joe Mazzulla sees no problem with this. One of his favorite memories.

My girl woulda left me mid thrust if I didn’t properly break down the Pippen triangle set from the March 22nd game in 1995 in the 3rd quarter against Boston where he gets the mismatch on Dee Brown leading to an And 1.
Dude, golden comment, made me really laugh, thanks! :D But at the same time… r/oddlyspecific
Maybe he was at that game? I just googled it and it’s all factually correct. At least the players, teams and dates.
2 year 363 day old me would have fucking loved to be there even with my boys getting trounced.

OH COCKBLOCKED BY JAMES
awww. you can tell that hurt him. haha. poor dad.
Last time I saw my pops alive he told me how sad he was when I left for college. I felt so bad bc at that age it didn’t even cross my mind that he missed me that much.
This is the bittersweet aspect of parenthood. I look forward to and dread my children leaving our home.
Good news: with how shit the economy is, you might not have that issue lol
The issue is actually worse. My daughter is 21 and still lives at home. I never see her AND she continues to consume household resources.
“Can you, like, be poor somewhere else?”
I can’t dad, that’s the issue.
there’s a TikTok of a girl whose mom redesigned her house when she moved back. rolled out the red carpet. built a lil kitchenette and private bathroom off her room to feel independent. hung led lights and texts her with the menu for the day.
I think if the kids are people they like then parents show out lol.
My parents did the same for me, converting a single family home into basically a duplex
21 is pretty early nowadays to be moving out if staying home is an option
Yeah, I’m not complaining or concerned. She can stay as long as she needs to.
I’m not a parent, but I feel like as long as the kid is going to school or working/actively searching for work, I’d let them stay until they have the resources to move out on their own. My mother is a saint though so perhaps I was influenced by the way she took care of me before I moved
That’s pretty much exactly my philosophy.
Typically the earliest barometer is after graduating college
Depends on a lot of factors. I had a good job in NYC after graduating but my parents lived nearby and NYC rent is crazy so I stayed until I was 23.
Like having a roommate that eats only your food lmao
no its called having a kid. Calling your own kid a roommate is insane.
Think it was pretty clear that was a joke, bud
Yeah the parental relationship between a 5 year old who clings to you and looks up to everything you do and a 20 year old who’s out of the house (or in their room doomscrolling for six hours a day) doing their own thing all the time is exactly the same. Very intelligent point. I’m being somewhat facetious - of course it’s not the same as living with some random person who you have nothing in common with - but there’s obviously a bit of a parallel.
I had to move back in with my mom for a bit in my 30s and we were totally roommates and referred to each other as such.
I don’t see anything wrong with saying roommates if you’re paying rent and contributing to the household.
Them not leaving home is also bittersweet.
I never understood this need for Americans to “have to move out” as soon as possible. In other cultures, they have multigenerational houses. As long as people respect each other it’s fine. “What if you want to bring a or guy over?” Well, introduce them to your parents and have sex quietly.
American culture prioritizes independence as a virtue
Which is why we don’t have good things like healthcare, public transportation, covid not killing a million people, etc. etc. etc.
America has socialism for the rich and rugged individualism for the poor- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This is more of an internet complaint than a real one. More Americans <30 live with their parents than ever before and I literally don’t know anyone who got kicked out at 18 or ever really.
Most people move out because they genuinely want to rather than need to.
Immigrant here, ideally I’d find a way to get an acreage or something eventually and have my parents live on a home in same property eventually.
Redditors love posting this comment.
I feel the same way. I can’t wait to have my own life back, but my life is consumed by their activities and I don’t know what I’ll do once I don’t have those anymore.
Yeah, my youngest kid just moved across the continent. I’m excited (and a little scared) for him to set out on his own and experience more of life; but I also just miss the shit out of him, all of the time.
I remember my aunt calling me and telling me that my dad called her and cried like a baby the day he dropped me off at clg. She said she had never seen her brother cry that much so she told me she’d whoop my ass if I didn’t call him regularly.
awwwwww
thats so sweet please hug your family for me
I have an only child who is almost 9. It’s going to tear me up when he leaves the house. He’s my little bud.
I have one word: Maltese. You’ll never be without a lil bud again.
But I don’t know the first thing about falconry
This is why I find it so interesting how boomers seem pissed off that kids are still living at home.
Gen X parents have been very supportive of their kids staying at home, to the point of outright pressuring them to stay home. While there are certainly kids who live at home because of financial reasons, laziness, etc, there are also kids who stay at home because their parents actively pressure them too.
I work at a college, and the biggest obstacle to students moving on campus is their own parents trying to keep them home. We literally train our staff to recognize that parents are going to try to find any reason to convince their kid to live at home, and we have to try to avoid any obstacle that could be utilized as a weapon for them.
My mom cried every semester when I went to college, I lived at home until I was 21 and went to college at 21 lol.
Makes me feel like boomers fuckin hated their kids, the mood very much felt like Boomers were actively excited for their kids to move out, gen X’ers (and millenials) seem to want to avoid that at all costs lol.
Boomers gonna boom. Most self centered generation.
That’s sweet, my parents said see you never as I left for college lol
I have a seven year old and thinking about him moving away someday makes my eyes water a bit
Sorry for your loss brother
That one hit home. When my kids left for college, that silence hits quick.
I have a 7 month old who’s just starting to practice crawling (waking from naps to practice etc). On one side of my brain I’m like “holy crap this little one is still so small “ but then on the other side I’m an emotional wreck because how can he be so big to start crawling already!?! 😭
Enjoy the ride. You got a long time to go.
That’s why Jordan will always be better. He should’ve taken that personally and given Bronny the cold shoulder.
LeGrudge hahah
If he were MJ he’d make bronny have sex with d wades wife
What??? Lol
MJ did that with Scottie’s wife. That’s why he’s the goat
My mom went into a bit of a depression when I moved out. I don’t think kids realize how much their absence impacts parents when you move out and have your own life.
Call your parents folks. Often. Visit them. Assuming you have a good relationship, that is.
Thank you for adding the “assuming you have a good relationship”.
(I know it’s cheesy to trauma-dump but I had a really awful call with my family this week and it just reminded me how lucky I was to get to move out and move away from them.)
Yeah do feel for him as a fellow dad.

Comments like these are why LeBron jokes never get old to me lol there’s some that are just so stupid you can’t help but laugh
I got almost no sleep last night from a migraine and am in a shithouse mood, but LeCollege managed to make me laugh.
All these years later and I still cackle like an idiot reading any of them.
My favorite was after a game where he looked a little slow or said he was tired in a post game interview or something along those lines, and the top comment was just “LeThargic”.
Empty ‘net’ syndrome
I know that LeBron being Bronny’s dad is why he’s on the team, but it still must be weird to work with your dad and have people interview him about you.
It’s honestly a subtly positive aspect of LeBron’s parenting that Bronny is as grounded as he is. Considering the exposure and hype surrounding LeBron since he was in high school, no one would bat an eye if Bronny was egotistical and out-of-touch because that’s just what happens with celebrity kids (Jaden Smith, LiAngelo, LaMelo, etc).
But by most (all?) accounts Bronny is humble, grateful and a hard worker. That’s just as reflective of who LeBron is as a person as Bronny is as his son.
(Aside: whereas I think Lonzo is who he is despite his dad, not because of him)
*LeBron and Savannah’s parenting. They’ve been a couple forever, and she’s seen first hand how being a high school athletic star can change people.
For sure, I don’t really follow celebrity’s personal lives but Savannah absolutely has a massive role in that household.
Savannah has only recently stepped into the spotlight, and even now she’s quite private.
Yeah that sounds vaguely familiar. Regardless, I wasn’t trying to downplay her role at all, just that I know next to nothing about her (as you note).
Props for mentioning the parent who actually does the vast majority of childrearing in these situations.
Plus the life long friends that LeBron has kept around him that knew him before he was famous, all their families know each other it really helps.
I’ve never rooted for LeBron but I think he is really inspiring as a dad. If I can get my boys to turn out as well a Bronny (as people) I’ll be a very proud dad. Young man had a cardiac arrest on the court and nobody anywhere would have faulted him for hanging it up and living off his Dad’s money for the rest of his life but he keeps at it. He’ll probably never be a great NBA player but it won’t be for lack of trying.
Cmon, you’ve never rooted for him? Over 20 seasons and many finals appearances you’ve never disliked the other team enough to root for Bron? Even that run on Cleveland against the warriors?
I don’t know that I “rooted” for him in the traditional sense during Cavs-Warriors but I did root for him to play absolutely amazing basketball for me to enjoy and he did that. His game 1 in the 3rd year was arguably the greatest game of basketball I’ve seen someone play personally. I know people whined that you knew it would be those two and that the Warriors would win those last two years, but man it was just so much talent playing great to watch basketball.
Nope. I’m a huge Klay fan (Go Cougs!) and Steph is the most entertaining player I’ve ever watched so I was very much not rooting for him then. Closest I probably came was his earlier runs on Cleveland. Liked Big Z and Varejão but even back then I liked the those 04, 05 Pistons teams and eventually the KG Celtics better.
I was a huge hater after The Decision, especially so after ray Allen went to south beach, but the 2016 run turned me around
Yeah honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out of the league once his contract runs out. But I wouldn’t consider that a failure because he’s just not his dad and the league’s overall talent level is the highest it’s ever been. If he doesn’t have a long career it won’t be from lack of effort, and that deserves its own respect considering his circumstances.
You don’t even have to go that far. People compare LeBron with Jordan. Let’s compare LeBron’s kids with Jordan’s kids. LeBron and Savannah have done a way way way better job raising their kids.
Bronny acts and plays the exact opposite of how you expect an ultra-rich borderline-nepo-draft-pick to be.
I personally think Lavar is a great father. Just because he’s loud it doesn’t mean he wasnt a good parent
Not saying he’s a bad parent, but it’s fair to say he was a very focused parent.
And I don’t know too much about his parenting style but seeing how LiAngelo squandered his college career by pulling some bullshit in China doesn’t give the best impressions.
I wouldn’t describe LaMelo as “grounded” either (in comparison to Bronny) but it does seem like he’s stayed mostly out of trouble (outside of his asshole driving).
Nepo kids and family businesses do it all the time, not that weird
I think this is a pretty unique situation
The visibility is definitely unique, the actual nepotism no
A unique situation we see played out for millennia across any “profession”. We are just so used to it.
How many nepo kids share a professional locker room with their dad? It’s pretty unique
Still surreal to think he’s not just playing in the league with his son but now multiple seasons. Wild career LeBron has had
LeBron’s NBA career is about as old as the average age of the Brooklyn Nets (a bit over 23 years).
Inspires me to also spend a million dollars a year keeping my body in shape
apparently that figure isn’t real. he said in an interview last year he doesn’t know where that came from lol
That kind of longevity is just unbelievable. Even Messi and Ronaldo had their fall offs
Yes and no - Messi could still play in Europe as a starter if he wanted to. Ronaldo the same if he were willing to take a lesser role which his massive ego won’t let him do.
I agree, players of their class never really lose it ( modric), but I feel like Lebron can still take over in a different way than they can right. I think this is also because there’s less players on a basketball court, so you can impose your will, definitely harder to do that in soccer
This man made it past the g league to play with his son on the lakers, only for the son to move out. Smh… plays cats in the cradle
**Cat’s in the cradle.
This might sound weird as hell but this is the first video in a while where I notice some wrinkles in Bron’s face? Like crows feet and the like. Obviously I’ve been watching dude since 2003 and seen him age, but something definitely looks different this year.
Some crazy aging since 2023. A whole 2 years, he must be really sad about Bronny leaving
being the first option for years while the whole time expecting for someone else to take up the mantle has left him completely exhausted and overused in terms of playing minutes i feel like
Le-Oreal
Aging accelerates out of nowhere around certain ages, depending on the person. Over the past year I straight up got a vertical line out of nowhere between my eyebrows. It honestly makes me very depressed and have a hard time looking at myself anymore in the mirror because seeing these signs of aging is a reminder that i missed out on my childhood and 20s and that I never even got to enjoy being young and I see an older man in the mirror now and have to accept reality. If ur still young enjoy it man…. enjoy it as much as u can
Yeah, throughout my 30s I barely seemed to age visibly at all and people were surprised to know I was in my 30s, but somewhere around 38 all of a sudden it was like I just aged 5 years overnight and pretty just much look my age now. Weird thing to experience.
Getting old is weird when it comes to visual appearance, imo. Cuz its like, even though I see myself daily, one day something just kinda…stands out. And I realize that my mental image is at odd with reality.
Idk what to do about that, but I also feel like it’s the tradeoff between this and being younger and much more at odds with the world around me. I handle my anxiety far better, I understand how to flip the switch to be assertive, and I have a good understanding of what self-respect means for me.
I didn’t have that when I was younger, so if thats the tradeoff, I don’t think it’s all so bad.
If he beat baldness he can beat wrinkles.
you started watching bron in 2023?
*hands up*
You got me. Fixed the typo.
So all you have to do to afford your own place in LA is be a 2nd round draft pick in the NBA…
And sign a guaranteed $10M contract.
He also probably has a hedge fund and trusts and properties worth 10x this.
90% of the time I hear a sports reporter try to ask a question, it makes me think of Michael Scott:
“Sometimes I’ll start a sentence, and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way. Like an improv conversation. An improversation.”
Was never a LeBron fan growing up (I was obsessed with Kobe). I’ve grown a lot of respect for him over the years with the way he carries himself and takes care of his family. Impossible not to like him
Is the Kobe Lebron thing born of any actual distaste between the two of them? Or was it just a matter of them both being the best in that era and always competing? Didnt really follow at the timr
it was quite literally kids finding a reason to beef with each other lol tale as old as time.
Yeah Kobe’s last tweet was towards LeBron congratulating him on passing him in all-time points and praised him for moving the game forward.
Bronny moved out. Bryce in college. Anyone else picturing LeBron lonely dribbling a basketball down the hallway, seeing Zhuris room door open, passing her the ball and saying “What’s up champ? Wanna play a game to 21?”

Lebrons last game needs bronny to lob it to him for one last iconic shot
Game 7 of the NBA Finals, The Lakers are down by 2. Heavy foul trouble has forced the Lakers into a desperation lineup with Lebron, Bronny, Hayes and AR and Smart.
The pistons double team AR who whips the pass to Lebron in the post, the defense moves towards him quickly, leaving Bronny wide open at the arc. Lebron finds him and he sinks the three, giving the Lakers the title at the buzzer.
Lebron walks away from the NBA, his head held high with the greatest memory he could hope for.
Just needs Luka and Reaves kissing on the sidelines and this would be approved by all the weird female Laker fans who write basketball yaoi.
I couldn’t even be mad tbh
If this happens, but he pump fakes and drives instead I’ll be so mad
In Lebron’s final game I want to see Bronny eat Lebron on National Television to ingest and take on Lebron’s powers and then Bronny turns into SuperBron and has the ability to bend time and space to his will on the court (Michael Jordan would still be the GOAT in this scenario though).

I felt that. My oldest is out now, it’s been 2 years. I miss my baby girl!!
This dude could have been insufferable with how much success he’s had over his lifetime, but he chose to be a decent person instead. That is admirable. It would have been easy to become snobby, rude, bad with money, hooked on drugs or women. He chose a different path.
