Really tough game tonight, physical from the outset. The offense looked unbelievably clunky, it felt like we had so few easy buckets other than KD being KD and some classic Sengun push shots in the 4th and OT.

Franz was awesome on both ends for the first three quarters, when he’s hitting his 3s it really opens up everything else for him.

There’s heaps of things you could try.

Punish intentional fouls by letting the fouled team keep possession after an FT. Reduce the amount of timeouts in a game overall - 7 timeouts per game is crazy! Go all out and ban timeouts in the 4th quarter/OT (Unfortunately these will probably never happen as the NBA likes timeouts as spots to run ads).

Ryan was meh at the beginning but has really become great. He’s goofy at times but when he breaks down plays he knows what he’s talking about and does it in a simple way. His goofyness also helps keep the vibes as “Houston fans just chilling and watching” type commentary where Craig and Ryan are obviously commentating but also making it feel like you’re with buddies watching. I think that’s they were going with when we shook it up

my main issue with the tony romo ing from these analysts is that they just shout audibles while ryan is very smooth with it and his chemistry with the other guy craig is top notch. helps that he also knows basketball really well and cues up hollins appropriately.

if you watch the jazz bulls highlight with the jazz people,, you’ll see the random audibles. and with like pelicans, both guys are good but they talk like they’re in different rooms.

That’s my one pet peeve with Adams: he needs to use both hands to get his rebounds so he can actually control the ball, then go back up with it (or pass if available). It’s too easy for opposing big men to gain control of the ball when it’s loose while being tipped around, so clamping down on it with both hands to get possession would likely help both him and the Rockets.

Great game, unfortunate loss. The Rockets killed us on the offensive glass towards the end of the game and KD showed us why he’s one of the best players in the world. Also, Sengun killed it in the back half of the game minus that turnover on the inbounds play.

Rockets look solid though, I expect them to be a threat in the west this year.
