He wasn’t incredible but ⁵⁄₆ from 2 and 2 stocks is still something worthwhile. He’s definitely looked more engaged on defense recently, gambles a bit too much sometimes but you can’t teach size.

Watching guys pass up the open look 3s to find the guy with the wide open 3 sparked so much joy.

Last season it felt like guys made the extra pass because they were afraid to shoot. This season they’re happy to shoot but finding the right pass when it’s there and it’s forcing defenders to close out way more aggressively around the perimeter.

Totally agree. I don’t think this version of Reed would get more than 12 minutes a game in our playoff rotation, but we’re only 10 games in. He’s made huge strides since last year (including defensively) so I’m excited to see how far his game comes over the course of this season.

I think his stocks could possibly balance out the bad on ball defense to a net neutral maybe? His passing is decent but not great is my bigger issue with him. Certainly don’t think he’s hit his ceiling on that front though.
