I’d be surprised if the set play was supposed to go to Pritchard in the first place. He cannot score on a double, and you’re going to get doubled in that situation.

Embiid hasn’t played an nba game for 8 months and regardless it takes him 10 games or so to get going

He’ll be fine if he actually has a knee that works. The line looks horrible, but I was actually surprised at how well he was moving around.

He always shoots like shit after long stretches off. And his touch was nowhere to be found tonight. But, having watched his whole career, I’m not worried about that part. Give it five games and he will find his midrange touch.

Tonight felt like a “just feeling things out” kind of game for him. Seemed very conservative and cautious. But from what I saw, he looked more mobile than I’ve seen in a long time. A step slower with all the wear and tear. But way better than he looked at any time last year.

It might be over. And his risk of injury is always huge. But there is a room for a sliver of hope that it’s not over just yet.
