Path of Exile 2 Build of the Week - Rambo Wizard
Time to buy this gear before it goes up 10000x innit
It’s probably just the staff eh?
Good helm as well.
That’s used by every life stacker out there which are very popular at the moment. I doubt this build of the week will move the needle
I did, I have been looking for a new build.
But I think Last lament Lich might be better
It took me until this video to understand that ‘% of armour also applies to elemental damage’ meant it applied to incoming elemental damage, and not that it was an offensive damage buff.
If you hover over the mods tier you can see that its tagged as ‘defence’ if it was an offensive mod it would most likely be tagged as ‘damage’. To be clear Im not saying this to be a dick but just for future reference. Its pretty useful info for crafting purposes too if homogen exalt sticks around
That’s solid advice. While I’ve checked mods to see their tags before, I never considered looking at the tags for ‘armour applies to elemental damage’
Instead, I assumed what I thought was correct, even though I didn’t see any damage changes when equipping an item with the mod.
One thing to me wasnt exactly clear from the get go with that mod was that its not a local mod, when i first saw it i assumed it only took the armour from that item and you get for example 40% of that items armour applying to ele dmg. Went looking around the character sheet and figured out it was a global mod
Yep. Classic GGG descriptions.
Agreed in general but really feel like this one is pretty obvious lol
They’re watching hulking form
First thing I thought as well lmao
It will be nerfed to 20% for small passives next season 😭 and a buff for Deadeye
And another unsuccessful chonk rework, Pathfinder and kitava still in the shitter.
Rip
Looks under the cover, tecrod.
That balrog has been real quiet since this build dropped.
Item level 90, how ridiculous.
true, build enabling uniques should be usable before reaching maps imo
I’m playing a mana variation of this build, and yeah, that part sucked. The staff does have a version with a level 18 skill instead of 20, but you have do be a bit into maps, then completely respec/alter your build.
This is really cool and unique. These types of clever builds should really be celebrated and not shit on.
Well, there goes my plan to wait for cheap 3 socket lvl 20 unid staves to roll for this. I wanted to do a calamity build as my last build of 0.3 but I doubt I’ll get to do it for cheap now if I even do so.
Why? This looks fun but is rather mid, no one will go for it anyway
I actually wanted to run a bloodmage variant not this Titan version technically (very similar mechanically though).
As someone playing a Witchhunter His Scattering Calamity build, you cannot get enough reduced skill effect duration to do the mechanic in this video without playing titan. I have both wheels, compressed duration, and swift affliction, and can only get 2 projectiles off each cast, not all three. It’s still very fun, but know you will be playing with 2⁄3 of the damage. Edit: to also clarify, there are no other sources of reduced skill effect duration in the game that you can use while wielding the staff.
Yeah it wouldn’t be single cast auto sprite action, but it’d be a triple cast to get max sprites (I don’t believe this BOTW gets max sprites per cast) and go sort of thing with arc CoC for clear. It should theoretically do much more single target if you hit the level 28 breakpoint for extra wellsprite cap + 5 chain.
It’s similar in that you stack HP use the same mod staff and abuse Tecrods and use CoC for extra damage, but instead of full machine gunning you just cast enough to clear and melt bosses way faster (I wanted to try it as a pinnacle farmer).
EDIT: Basically the variant this person was doing: https://old.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1np5tl9/turns_out_his_scattering_calamity_is_pretty/nfz0whr/
That’s sick.
Just visually this looks cool af
To everyone, that staff was a chance shard but not Rambo Wizard. For he is a wise wizard.
Looks like we are getting a sneak peak at some future left-side of the tree changes @3:06 in the video.
Looks normal to me, what is different about it?
The close combat cluster is on the right side. The physical cluster that ends with attack speed/melee damage has a new cluster to its left side with 2 notables. That’s new to me.
Even Ebon had to make a joke about how complex it is to sustain mana to make this item work. Maybe GGG could make this item more accessible for players by reducing mana and complexity. Because this looks like awesome fun.
Skills from equipment have no costs. He has to solve mana because of the 2 meta gems, coc and cast on ele ailments.
His scattering calamity actually has a mana cost. It’s one of the few exceptions for item skills requiring mana.
hmm. that’s an interesting way to use the staff for sure but having to go titan just to grab enough reduced duration sounds sad
Can’t you just use ember fuselage or what is it called?
That has twice the duration and thus you need to slow yourself down a lot more.
Yeah that build was found at launch. Still pretty good but this would be an endgame version for more damage
Price of invitations about to go up
I was searching the trade site for these earlier today to check prices. There are 0 results for instant buyouts, I don’t understand why.
Because things that Ange has on currency exchange are like that.
They’re in currency exchange.
Nice build. lots of different mechanics to put together. I hope they won’t nerf it come next season, like some of the build showcases they did last season. It’s a shame when we have creative builds like this one used by a handful of people get nuked for being “too creative”.
I doubt the skill will be nerfed. But if the staff is available, it will be much much more rare. What will get nerfed is Tecrod’s Undying Hate. This isn’t the only build that uses it, but it is absurdly strong at the moment.
I hope they won’t, but you never know. They absolutely ruined Splinter of Loratta after the last showcase.
What is that cosmetic armor? Or regular armor?
Cool build
This looks and plays incredibly cool. I’ll never play it because of the gear requirements but it’s awesome
OMG…the DIVS…!
So question, I made a thread about fire spells and why they suck and this build looks like it could theoretically be done with Ember Fusillade right? The problem is if you do it with EF you do like a quarter of the damage and it sucks terribly. How exactly is it that straight up using this more or less lightning version of ember fusillade ends up being 4x as effective? Kind of insane.
Why does the passive tree look different than mine? (warrior/titan)
Probably a dev build of the tree come 0.4
Did they fix the staff having a fifth the fire rate or something? By then so many had left the league already…
Cool build for something different, but you are super slow while casting, so it won’t become too popular :)
Mana is not my weakness ahh

Straight from the youtube comment section, bravo.
If the build is not showcased on t15 at least 36% deli and at least t3 pinnacles, then it’s not worth trying - and this one falls into this category, unfortunately
T15 with 66% delirium map showcase (max boss difficulty) https://youtu.be/BkvE__-JoOM?si=9UYyuwFNuUdB2SEK
T3 Xesht https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/s/3IimqAnYmN
Spoken like someone who will never deviate from a build guide.
