In the ALCS, the Mariners outscored the Blue Jays 15-4 in the first 20 innings of the series, but in the last 43 innings, the Blue Jays outscored the Mariners 33-15
One of the better series recoveries I can remember over the past decade or so.
In the first two games plus first two innings of game 3, the Mariners outscored the Blue Jays 15-4 and looked like they were in full command of the series.
However, beginning in the third inning of game 3, the series shifted completely as the Jays scored 5 in the inning and the offense never really looked back after that as they proceeded to outscore the Mariners 33-15 for the remainder of the series to ultimately take it in 7 games. Other than the coaching gaff in game 5, the Jays played error-free baseball in every component for much of the last 5 games of the series.
This is an especially impressive turnaround in my opinion since they had lost the first two games at home convincingly and the Seattle crowd was going nuts to start game 3.
