[Highlight] Kim Young-woong hit two 3-runs home run in back to back at bats against Hanwha Eagles in game 4 of the KBO semi-final
Mans literal named translated to English is Kim Hero
And doesn’t Kim mean gold? So that would make him a Golden Hero
The Chinese character means gold but Koreans don’t read it as such (Geum/Keum vs Gim/Kim)
as stated in the live stream thread Samsung was down 4-0 and stormed back to lead 7-4
heading to a game 5 winner take all for a shot at the Korea series
I was so confused by this title. For a brief a second I thought “Wait, does KBO have the golden batter rule?”.
back to back three run homers in a semi final thats absolutely clutch
i just love how no matter where you go in the world, sports team managers all get that dead eye stare when shit goes even remotely bad
Going for the Jackson.
The context makes it crazier, as the KBO has a unique playoff structure.
In the playoff, a ladder format is used. First, the #5 and #4 seed play each other. Winner plays the #3 seed. Winner of that plays the #2 seed. Winner of that plays the #1 seed for the final. So the #4 or #5 seed has to win 4 series, while the #1 seed just has to win one. In the last 23 years, the #1 seed has won the final 20 out of 23 times.
Samsung was the #4 seed, and was down 2-1 in a BO5 series against the #2 seed Eagles. Because of the home runs, it’s now winner-take-all tomorrow, and the winner will play LG (#1 seed) in the finals.
No #4 or #5 seed has ever won the finals before, so the run that Samsung is on is pretty exciting.
Who did what against who at the what?
Why do some people here get all weird when non-MLB league highlights are posted? It’s r/baseball, not /r/mlb
It was just a joke but per usual this sub is on its period. Conservative and Watches might be the only subs that are more sensitive and whiney than baseball fans.
Jokes are supposed to be funny.
Won’t argue with a Diamondbacks fan. You definitely know a joke when you see it.
