Hi Celtic fans. I was thinking about getting league pass to watch Celtic games here in Iowa, Then looked closer at blackout teams in my area total 6. That means I would be blacked out on I counted 16 games of the schedule. So I will try to just watch what the tv gods allow me to watch on regular tv. I am hampered in baseball by 5 team blackouts but FanDuel doesn’t blackout the local teams so why, should league pass? I will be rooting for the Celtics and Iowa alum Luka Garza

League pass blacks them out bcuz Fan Duel offers them in your area. Fan Duel is paying for the right to broadcast in a certain geographic footprint and the NBA doesn’t want to compete with someone who is paying them millions of dollars for the rights to that area.

Edit to add this holds true for nationally televised games too. If it’s on ESPN then it’s not on league pass bc ESPN paid money to broadcast it exclusively nationwide.
