I bet not many Lakers fans would come up with this name these days, let alone thinking this guy scored 42 points in a single game.
Fun fact: He scored 30 points or more in a single game just 11 times.
Edit:
According to BBref, his nicknames were “The Thief” and “Randy Watson”
We were stoked getting Sedale when we did. He was signed to be Magic’s backup which would have been huge. Magic was still playing 37 minutes 11 years in (and playing just about every game). Little did we know that Sedale was going to have to start immediately with us :(.
Well, didn’t George Foreman name all of his children George
Even the girls? 😏
Sedale Threatt came up big in the playoff series in 1993 against the Suns. He had 30 something in the first game. Lakers were massive underdogs (this was the brief period between Magic’s retirement and Nick/Eddie teams) but somehow won the first two games IN Phoenix. The last game 5 went into OT.
He’s my answer on Immaculate Grid for every Rockets-Lakers square lol.
