Its actually not a joke and I’m surprised it’s not legitimately being discussed. Kawhi has not delivered as a Clipper. There is no championship. There is no banner. There is no trophy. There’s nothing of value in return besides wasted money and wasted potential. Clippers put together a great roster. Players are playing above their caliber and their star player is a no show. All while their trade gave away SGA… who won a championship. Your goal was given away. You gave it away.  

Get rid of kawhi at all costs. 

Edit: Must be very frustrating to see your picks fuel OKCs to be in a position to have multiple championships while you struggle to get one.

Clips have put together a great team for this year. They old but not THAT old. They can make some noise this year if the chips fall their way. Anyone can get injured though, take a look at this year’s playoffs. If they have some injury luck, they will be a contender. Without Kawhi, they aren’t.

I’ve yelled this as loud as I could from the very beginning and have hated kawahi because of the way he left the Spurs (not cuz he left)… an organization like the Spurs would not mishandled a superstar like that. Yet everyone on reddit and ESPN was putting it on them. This has been amazing watching unfold.

I was naive enough to think that the uncle Dennis stuff was just on him and everyone denied his extortion attempts. I thought, incorrectly, that kawhi had nothing to do with it.

I think the idea of kawhi is better than the actual reality of kawhi. I mean he is alwaysss injured. And there is so much drama around him. Those are big obstacles that don’t just go away. I’ll be honest, I don’t know that I would necessarily want him on the Lakers unless it was for some astronomically low contract (to protect from the downside) but we know that wouldn’t happen. He would still get max offers crazily enough.

I feel like there’s this “Kawhi doesn’t want to play basketball” narrative spinning out of this saga like he is Ben Simmons or something, but there’s zero reason to believe that. He has been legitimately injured for most of his career. His playing schedule and load managment was decided by his teams. Every time he has stepped on the court he has been ridiculously good and put in 100% effort, and Toronto was no exception.
