I think Embiid is hard to rank because we haven’t really seen what a healthy version of him looks like in a year and a half. Granted, that version of him looked like one of the best centers of all time.

But both of his recent major injuries were also in the same knee, so it’s hard to say how much of that he will be able to recapture. He very well could never play 40+ games in a season again, but I hope I’m wrong about that.

Sure but that’s the problem. He’s either an MVP or he gets the same minutes I do. How do you score that? I swear he is potentially all time in this category of availability. I feel like most what ifs fell off after 2 or 3 seasons but he’s making a career of showing up then not.

Embiid is comfortably top 3 when healthy.

I went up the list and if we mean Embiid is 2024 healthy Embiid, anything less than 5 is unacceptable to me. To me the top tier for the last 5 years has clearly been Jokic, Giannis, Embiid and then the rest.

Jokic is one of the best offensive players of all time. But then Giannis and Embiid are offensive powerhouses as well, but also world beaters on defense.

He’s the internets favorite punching bag, and alot of it he brought on himself. But it’s incredible how much his talent is dismissed online.

He’s both too high and too low because there’s no way to know how much he’ll be able to play this year. An Embiid who plays 20 games and gets shut down before the playoffs is not the 22nd best player in the league but an Embiid who plays 45 games and looks like himself in the playoffs is obviously a top 10 player in the league. He’s kind of impossible to place on this kind of list right now

He shouldn’t be ranked. If you rank him then he’s a top five player. Last time he played without a clear injury (Feb 2024) he averaged more points than minutes. 7 months before that he won the mvp. 22 is just lame.
