Today is the 28th, lets all remember the time Chris Bosh annihilated some kid in high school.
And I’m better at French horn too Eric!
Hahahahah. Still good.
I forgot Bosh was on that. Hibbert and Schremph i remember tho. Entertainment 720 forever
This show was the woooorrsst!

Big D, hit me!
Parks and Rec > The Office.
Bush era incompetence vs Obama era optimism, now I’m nostalgic for both lol
100%. People think I’m crazy when they say that but I truly believe it
For my money, of all the Michael Schur produced shows (office, b99, p&r), I’m going with The Good Place as his best!
I have these two, community, and schitts creek in my second tier of top comedies ever.
First tier is held solely for Detectorists. If you haven’t watched that show you’re missing out on one of the best shows ever.
And Theodore Lasso
Community easily clears parks and rec, the office, and schitts creek, and that’s not a slight to any of those shows. Community is just that good.
I will have to look into Detectoristd.
Top 5 for me:
Community, 30 Rock, PnR, Arrested Development, and Frasier.
Love to see a fellow Frasier connoisseur in the wild.
Yep I rediscovered it far too late in life and it has such a 90s charm to it. Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce were so hilarious together.. it’s been on our tv nonstop last year.
It’s one I watched with my dad growing up. A regular background show around my house
30 Rock and Arrested Development are so good
Community had some dogshit seasons though. Their peaks were high but their lows were much lower than the other shows.
Literally one season and then they brought back Dan Harmon and it was just as good again. Plus the bit they use about a gas leak to write off that entire season is absolutely hilarious.
I haven’t watched all of parks and rec but I’ll take the one dogshit season over the like 5 seasons of ridiculous flanderization in the office. Like it was still a good show, but Kevin went from being like the lethargic “boring guy” at the start of the office to someone who legitimately has mental deficiencies by the end, and it’s just kind of lazy writing. Community avoid that by nature of being so ridiculous from the start and not ever trying to take themselves that seriously.
I guess it’s subjective but I didn’t think the gas leak bit made up for a full season of horrendous writing.
I’m not gonna defend The Office because I think it also gets really bad towards the end, but let’s not act like Britta and Chang (I’m sure others as well, I can’t remember all the details now) don’t get fully flanderized. They were in no way ridiculous right from the jump. Doesn’t Britta literally shit herself in the later seasons? Cmon.
I mean, she is blackout drunk in the episode she shits herself in, and it’s sort of at the peak of her “depression arc”. I would not compare Britta at all to the office flanderization. Imo she has a fairly natural character arc, she was a bleeding heart liberal to begin with, and as she grows up she sees that all the things she cares about(while being noble causes) are not really “solvable” issues in the way she thought, so she’s dealing with that, she’s dealing with some “failure” within her life, being homeless at one point, and also dealing with some trauma from her upbringing. IIRC she sort of turns around again in the final seasons.
Chang I would sort of agree that he gets flanderized, but from the first time he appeared he was made to be a power tripping crazy/abusive teacher with a fucked up marriage and insecurities, and he’s basically that the whole way through he just has varying levels of authority.
But to a degree, I don’t even think Changs flanderization is comparable. Community always sold itself as ridiculous, all of the characters are supposed to be caricatures/stereotypes from the start, the show makes fun of those stereotypes from the start, and the show from the beginning had ridiculous episodes like the cafeteria turning into a mob movie, or the whole school turning into a wildly out of control paintball game. The show never painted itself as realistic or serious, it was over the top from the beginning.
Community in comparison IS supposed to seem normal and relatable. Kevin is just the ultra boring accountant, and after a couple seasons his entire character is the mentally challenged fat guy. He doesn’t even talk the same, he literally starts talking like the cookie monster.
Also I have to say I think that a lot of the jokes in community are starting to age. They rely heavily on racism/sexism/sexual harassment for jokes and while community definitely has some of that it’s a little less prominent and imo it’s mor nuanced as opposed to “haha Micheal is sexually harassing Pam AGAIN”. Over time I think the tolerance for a character like Micheal has shrunk, and while him harassing Pam or Kelly or Phyllis or being racist to whichever other character was clearly done “tongue in cheek”, in 2025 watching it back it’s kind of gross how much they rely on those jokes. It’s like most of Micheal’s character and instead of making any real commentary about it(like Pierce being kicked out of the group for pantsing Shirley), they try and paint him as a “well intentioned but flawed/naive guy” and they just keep letting it happen.
Community also had a sixth season which is absolute dogwater if you haven’t seen it
False the sixth season is fantastic. Like really really good. The gas leak season was dog water but after Dan Harmon returns the writing clearly gets much better. A lot of people dislike those seasons automatically because the gas leak season puts a bad taste in your mouth plus a bunch of fan favourite characters leave, but if you watch it again I think you might be surprised by how funny and enjoyable it is even without those characters.
disagree that community easily clears. It’s definitely a good show tho.
Nah it’s not close, I’m a big office/parks fan but community has a lot more nuance and subtlety to it’s jokes, they make better use of prop humour, the long running plot lines are more meaningful, they avoid flanderization a lot better, and the concept episodes are so incredible they push it well over the edge.
Community also avoided “jumping the shark” like the office and to a lesser extent parks and rec, they had that awful season in the middle but then Dan Harmon came back and it returns to it’s former glory, plus the bit they use about the gas leak to write off an entire season of horrible writing is one of the funniest things ever.
Like I’m sorry but your opinion is objectively wrong(kind of joking but not really tbh), those are both great shows but they just aren’t the pure gold that community is on so many levels and was basically through its entire run.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existencial catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools… how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
It’s a British show and there are only about 20 episodes in total. It’s about a group of metal detectorists, but focusing on the two main guys going out and detecting. It sounds like it would be the most boring thing ever, but it’s brilliantly written and acted. It also has the best opening song of any show.
I also just realized I forgot to add Ted Lasso to my list of shows
I’ll definitely give that a watch, and recommend you what I think is one of the most underrated comedies of the 2010s: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It’s probably the exact opposite of what you’re describing, not british humour but also not a typical sitcom. Instead it’s an over the top borderline absurdist comedy about an extremely naive girl(the unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) who is freed from an underground bunker/cult surviving in NYC. The characters are all extremely ridiculous from the get go, like her extremely flamboyant roommate with musical theatre aspirations. But the show is just pure gold. First of all it has one of the greatest opening scenes/theme songs of all time, like it will blow your mind with just that. But the writing overall is brilliant, meta humour, prop comedy, hilarious transitions and forth wall breaks, a crazy amount of social commentary, and I think it is seriously the most jam packed comedy series ever. The sheer number of jokes is just ridiculous, it’s actually incredible how many ways they can make jokes(and actually make you laugh) within a single episode.
It’s probably not for everybody but if you like social commentary it’s quite amazing and again just such an incredible well written and made show in terms of pure comedy, and it will make you laugh in so many ways that most other sitcoms could never even think of. I’d give an episode or two a watch to decide if you like it but man it’s really special in my opinion.
Of all the Michael Schur shows, Parks and Rec has held up the best by far.
New Girl clears them all
both shows overrated by white neckbeards
also has several MAGAt cast members
Answer the question
Which ones?
Chris Pratt is pretty conservative Christian. Rob Lowe has been a Republican since his days on The West Wing, but thats an open secret, if you dont listen to interviews with the cast about it you wouldn’t know.
EDIT: Why am I being downvoted? Question asked and answered, the fuck is wrong with you?
Sucks that he got that unfortunate disease. Really was saddened by that. Really was apart of that big 3
I’m confident that the 2015-2016 Heat could’ve made some noise in the playoffs if Bosh were healthy. Would’ve been the perfect 4 to transition into the new era of the NBA too.
That sentence reads like he was surprisingly important to the big 3. But he is literally one of the 3.
And basically the perfect example of the humility it requires to be the third star and give up stats and do all the dirty work the team needs from you. The surprising part was that he’d so willingly give up a lot of personal accolades, not that he was the third star
He still had a great career and should feel incredibly proud
more all stars than dwight and melo in a shorter time frame too
Chris is pretty funny, love his cowboy character when he was campaigning for an all-star nod
Voting is as easy as cow tippin, ain’t that right bubba?
THATS RIGHT
This is great but what the fuck does it have to do with the 28th?
Sounds like a play on the video saying it’s the 27th and showing a video of the 27 missed 3s for rockets.

Genuine question, how much time do you spend online or watching tv?
Aubrey Plaza recently talked about trying to prank Bosh in an interview she gave on the Good Hang podcast. Bosh had no idea who she was
He was better in Wrecked, when he killed himself with a samurai sword
God dammit, Eric.
In the conversation of who’s better between Bosh and Jimmy, this is the tie breaker 😂
