He’s out of the league once his contract is up. He has zero skills on offense and was way too slow and unaware to be good on defense last year. He was already small, if he’s slow and still can’t hit 3s it’s over.

I’m an optimist so I see Tillman elevates to 2022 Horford

I’m not super high on X. I like him, he seems like a good dude, but he’s slow, can’t shoot, a bit below average on rebounds, gets spun on defense all the time, just nothing stands out about his game at all. He can soak up garbage minutes in what seems like an in-between season with low expectations but I think he’s barely an NBA player on a non-contender team.

I hope I’m wrong since he’s still pretty young but I don’t see him having a Horford-like change in his game where he finds the 3 ball, plus he’s nowhere near Al’s defensive ability.

The Celtics training and development staff has been excellent the last few years keeping ancient Al healthy, turning Kornet into a legit athlete and getting Hauser to be a rotation player. Hopefully Tillman can get back to form. They will need him.

Dude needs to lose a lot of weight and work on his athleticism. He was solid earlier in his career, but I’m not sure he has any redeeming NBA qualities at this point. I’ll root for him for sure, though. He seems like a good guy

X seems like a good guy and is 26 so a JKidd shooting growth is possible, I suppose, but I expect him to remain stuck as the tweener he’s been his whole career: not big enough to be an interior force on offense, not a good enough shooter to be a perimeter threat. Unless he can figure out a way to not be an offensive liability it’s hard to see him becoming a bigger part of the Cs plans than he is, unfortunately.

He’s overweight, sucks on defense, doesn’t do anything particularly well, undersized. Thanks for those couple of shots against Dallas though!

I’ve seen a couple clips and he looks good in them. Hopefully he is a + of the bench at the least. If that shot has come around, he can certainly be a regular contributor

If healthy he could definitely turn things around and be a part of the rotation. His ability to play ⁴⁄₅ while being somewhat comfortable switching onto perimeter players in pick and roll makes him a good fit, IF healthy. Clearly health bothered him a lot last year, and he did not play much because of it. He certainly has the opportunity to prove himself with us losing Kornet+KP and likely Al (I know it’s all but confirmed but I hate the idea of Al signing with the Warriors so I will keep coping and pretend it’s only a “maybe.”).

Xavier is a mystery man. His body reminds me of an 80s-90s power forward, but his game doesn’t seem to fit the physique. He has trouble finishing around the rim, and appears a step slow to defend away from the basket. It would be great if he were a contributor but I just don’t see it…
