Tyrese Haliburton in the building supporting the Fever
He’ll always be remembered as one of the biggest highlights of the 2025 post season. I don’t think Bill Simmons was lying when he said the biggest remembrance of the 2025 post season will probably be Haliburton and the Pacers run. He holds the NBA record for most buzzer beater wins in a post season with 4, which he got all in one postseason. Michael Jordan, who was the previous first place holder for playoff buzzer beaters, had 3 in his entire career
Its like how Reggie Miller is remembered for his playoff moments and performances, despite never winning a championship.
Hell, a lot of people don’t even remember that the Knicks won the series with the choke sign game.
Hell, the Knicks went to the Finals that year.
The Knicks won something?
Good thing hali getting that chip 26-27 trustttt
The Haliban is down but never out.
I cant lie, Reggie built his carreer of being a Knicks villian but Reggie has nothing in Hali. Hali is a fiend for ruining our fuckin shit. I swear its his crack, hes addicted to reigning on the Knicks parade.
In 20 years time….
A:“Bro, do you remember who was NBA champs in 2025?”
B: “Hell no! I can barely remember last year! Wait, wasn’t 2025 was the year Hali went off?”
A: “Yeah, you right! The year of the Haliban! “
B: “Bruh, that was so lit. So, I guess OKC must have won in 2025.”
A: “Yeah, OKC. But that Hali, whooooooooo! We all got robbed!”
i knew i hated boston fans for a reason
bros out here writing reddit fanfic
They got a long season ahead to write these lmao
Cmon man lmao
You can write about the great return of jt.
fanfiction.net veteran, started off writing OC AU Percy Jackson stories
And I loved quite a few of them. There was someone who rewrote the blood of Olympus with with like Percy and annabeth POVs added and it was great. Can’t find it anymore though which is a shame
https://www.wattpad.com/story/10309499-blood-of-olympus
This one?
Nope :/
Aw sorry, i tried!
That insult is uncalled for. Call them a Harry Potter OC writer or something. Nobody deserves to be accused of being a Percy Jackson fanfic writer without evidence. The average quality of works in that fandom is truly depressing
Boston fans are AU PercaBeth writers, they just don’t know it yet
Never expected to see this crossover on r/nba lmaooo
“whoooooooooo!”
W cringe
Lemme get my Dior Dior jacket!
Room for one more?
Nah bro! All girls are the same!
Rocco: Woof woof motherfucker!
Redditors are so fucking cringe man what the fuck is this shit
It’s legit coping after the okc win. Everything thunder related got downvoted to oblivion after they won the ship.
This fan fiction cringey shit is who most of the people on this sub are, or at least the loudest ones
Who the actual fuck talks like this
Nobody. This is how people who only communicate through the Internet think people talk.
2025, the year when Haliban dropped game winning bombs on all four teams they played against in the playoffs
“Bro the year of the Haliban? That could be every year after 2025 except 2026 cause of the injury. They’ve won it every year for the last 19 years. Tyrese is 45. Make it stop”
This is brain dead, everyone will know when OKC won their first title the same way they know when Denver won theirs
Some of you are such clowns pushing OKC hate still lmao let it go, it’s over
At my age, the last 5 years have blended together. I know Denver won a championship but I would struggle to remember which year.
Guys, I found the Halicaust denier.
Off the top of your head, name every team’s first championship.
I can name a bunch, but i can’t name a single “that guy had a great run but they lost.”
Must’ve started watching basketball after 2015 because LeBron quite literally gets brought up all the time for that scenario. Even 1986 Jordan when he dropped 63 on the Celtics and still lost
Most fans follow players rather than teams in basketball. They’re going to hear the name of the player before they hear the name of the team in their circle.
this couldn’t possibly be more false.
Honestly this is peak redditor logic and a good reminder that you’re not discussing games with real fans of teams just weird band wagon player fans
Non fans will name more nba players than nba teams and that cannot be more true.
This seems like a weird metric to use, die-hard fans will also name more nba players than nba teams because there are way more players.
The metric is that people who don’t follow the sport hear more about players in the news than teams. The too NBA players have way more followers than top NBA teams on almost every social media platform
People who actively follow the league also will name more players than teams. There’s alot of player, only 30 teams. Perhaps not the best barometer
That’s why I said non fans. No shit fans would know about the players in the sport they like.
Drexler, Barkley, Lebron, stockton/malone, Reggie, iverson
What are you talking about lol
Simple
Oh yeah? What year did the lakers, spurs, Celtics, Warriors, etc. get their first ring?
They cant just praise Hali without putting OKC down lol. We all know Hali had an all time run, no need to say OKC didnt deserve the chip
People are still actually grieving over our championship lol
I’m only bringing this up because you’re framing it as a real stat “buzzer beater wins” with reference to Jordan. Although Hali’s shots were contextually as good as buzzer beaters, it can’t be used for the purposes of a defined stat because the buzzer didn’t go off during any of the winning shots which surely is what defines a shot as a buzzer beater. And one of Hali’s 4 shots was game tying not a game winner. Michael Jordan does have 3 actual buzzer beater game winners in the playoffs. I’m sure if we extended it include last second winners, it could be more.
The only true buzzer beater winner this playoffs was the frame perfect Aaron Gordon one. https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/buzzer-beaters.html
He had 4 game winners
Which is the 4th? I have:
Bucks game 5
Cavs game 2
OKC game 1
Knicks was a would game winner, before the 3 got reviewed to be a 2 to become game tying. In OT, the last lead change was a Nembhard shot.
The pacers only have 4 one possession wins, so that’s 3 game winners this postseason run, not 4 this postseason as OP claimed. This is just another claim that’s not a real stat. If this includes a previous year, the OP was not referencing that, and neither was I.
Wait what? What are the 4 buzzer beating wins?
Bucks game 5 (.3s left), Cavs game 1 (.3s left), Knicks game 1 force OT, thunder game 1 (.2s left). Not wins but all fantastic buzzer beaters
These aren’t buzzer beating wins though so what is the original reference even to? Where did he get that stat
You’re right. Although Hali’s shots were contextually as good as buzzer beaters, for the purposes of a defined stat, they wouldn’t count as buzzer beaters because the buzzer didn’t go off during any of the winning shots.
The only true buzzer beater this playoffs was the crazy Aaron Gordon one. https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/buzzer-beaters.html
It’s an important distinction because OP referenced MJ only having 3 in his career and that the record was broken by Hali. But Michael Jordan does have 3 actual buzzer beater game winners in the playoffs, and may have more if we included near buzzer beaters.
It was game tying or winning shots in the last 5 seconds of a game.
So Haliburton has more game winning or tying shots with 5s or less than MJ did in his playoff career which was highest ever, 3 in a career? But this just isn’t true
Yeah I looked up MJ playoff clutch shots on youtube and there’s a ton of winners near the buzzer as well. I’m assuming OP just saw MJ had 3 playoff buzzer beaters (a real stat), and remembered Hali had 4 big shots, so just claimed it was a new record based off no actual source.
Hali does not lead any career stat for game winning shots. Maybe in a single playoff run, but not a career.
Yes they are. Only the knicks one was a shot for OT. The 3 others are buzzer beater game winning shots.
A buzzer beater means that the clock is at 0 after the shot goes in. Even if its 0.1 left it doesnt count as a buzzer beater.
Youre right. I totally had a brainfart. My bad
What isn’t LeBron the leader??? I can name 4 off the top of my head? Pacers (2018) Magic (09) and Lebronto (2018) Bulls (2015). And I’m probably missing some
You’re right, the comment is all vibes but the claims are made up. MJ was not the previous holder for playoff buzzer beater winners. Hali is not the new holder for this record. Hali does not have 4 buzzer beater winners, he has zero. It was 3 last second game winners before the buzzer, and 1 game tying shot.
I thought I was going crazy cause no one called BS
I think people just get lost in the sauce hyping up some players that any positive claims just get sent to the top even if the claims are wildly untrue if you just stop and think about it for a second.
Draymond Green is the first NBA player to foul out 3 playoff games in a row with all of them being personal fouls.
Pacers again in 2013
He’s probably a top-5 favorite “not on my team” player for most fans in the league now after just one run. I love the guy.
Why are you lying so blatantly and why are you being upvoted for it
What are you going to do about it? Block me? LMAO
This is an unhinged response to being called out for lying get help

Nobody likes you or your team or your mvp
Lots of us like the Thunder. One of the best run organizations in the league, if not the best. The KD/Westbrook teams were so good, all through the draft. KD did the weakest move of all time and they still kept making the playoffs. Re-tooled in record time and now have the youngest best team in the league with like 300 draft picks.
All while being one of the least desirable FA destinations in the league. If you can’t respect that you aren’t a fan of ball.
Cry
Ironic after you’re the one crying on this entire post
Gobert is gonna be NUTS next season! Can’t wait for him to drop 3.2 PPG
Nice change of subject because you realize that you did, indeed, cry all over the post.
speaking of crying check out those WCF game threads lol
no respect for minnesota fans
You’re still crying dude
still got on his ball shorts
ball is life
I mean, it’s been hot as shit and he has a giant brace
Thought that last word was gonna be something different…
He ain’t Donovan Mitchell
He and Shai have a lot in common
A big, giant, long and girthy…
brace.
Yeah you did u/Mad_Cowboy 😉
it’s been hot as shit
He’s wearing a sweatshirt over a hoodie lmao
“Why am I so hot?! I have shorts on!”
Hoodie and shorts is a HOF in-betweener weather fit
Hoodie+sweatshirt is some UFC weigh in shit
He is not, the hoodie has an off color hood
I like shorts! They’re comfy and easy to wear!
Elite ball knowledge required for this one
Well yeah, look at those thighs
The absolute most legendary postseason that we were all robbed of… He was on pace to drop a lot of points and lead his team to a huge upset in a game 7 before the injury… If he drops 40 or 50 and the Pacers win it’s automatically in the top 5 or top 3 postseason performances ever.
if he drops 40 or 50
Easy there lol
Fuck it, let him hypothetically drop a 100
That’s the spirit ❤️
fuck it, Bitcoin to 3 billion
Ty for understanding. Hundred point game was not out of the question.
Not that crazy tbh. He had 9 in 7 minutes and anyone who watches him knows his game is “hits everything or hits nothing”. It was a hits everything night and dude smelled blood from the jump.
The most frustrating part of watching him is the extremes of the high highs and low lows. He was locked tf in before going down.
I’ve seen literally hundreds of games where players start really hot in the first quarter and end up barely scoring 25. Halliburton has only scored more than 40 3 times in his NBA career. It’s ridiculous to say he would’ve easily scored 40-50 in a finals game 7 against one of the best defenses in the league’s history.
Won’t stop the hali fanfic writers who are convinced he was dropping 60
I bet he would have dropped 90 on our defense!
I mean 40-50 is probably an exaggeration but the point is he looked on his way to a huge game. He was hitting nothing but the bottom on deep 3s. When his shot is falling like that he becomes impossible to defend. It opens up the passing lanes, the defense gets stretched thin, and he starts shredding it. Damn just wish he had a chance
Who said easily?
Exactly. The original was if he scored 40-50 in winning game 7, it would be a top 5 playoff performance
That’s not that crazy given how good a run it was, but 40-50 in game 7 would have been an absurd (and unlikely) performance in and of itself
For sure. For us the hard thing is if he had even a 20 pt 8-10 ast game the playoff stats say the pacers win. If you got to watch him this year you’d know that the nights he comes out looking like that are barn burners. We had the lead at halftime without him and there’s just no way we look like that in the 3rd if he’s there.
He would have evened out either way
Doubt it, y’all really lucked out.
The further we get from the finals the crazier people will push it.
By next year people will be talking about the 60 pt triple double Hali was about to drop lmfao.
70 at least. Did you even watch the game?
40/10/20 game was incoming bro. I swear it was gonna be legendary.
I watch like 90%+ of our games. Yes, Haliburton will put a stinker here or there. But those are games in which he never gets going. When he starts red hot, he always finishes with an insane game. His game just builds on itself
Buddy, 80 points was basically guaranteed.
Basically? It was a sure thing. Casual
You’re right dawg, I’m sure your fan base would be way more rational if your star started game 7 like that then tore his Achilles.
When his career high is 44
Agreed it was looking more like a 30/20/10/0TOs game
He came out and immediately hit three 3s tbf
Bro has a better chance of dropping 0 than dropping 40 or 50
He wouldn’t have needed 40 or 50. 28 and 11 assists, the games over.
Weren’t they undefeated if he scored 25+ or something like that?
It’s fun when you can just pretend stuff happened when there’s no way to see isn’t it.?
wouldn’t have been robbed by injury if game 4 wasn’t robbed by the extender.
Yeah man he was due for a game where he scored 65 points especially after scoring 4. Gonna be crazy in the east next year, 8 seed winning 20 games.
That’s a stretch.
Bucks missing Dame and Boston dropping Tatum make it contradictory to say they were robbed.. it can happen to any player on any team.
That being said, it was an impressive run.
yeah but game 7 of the finals is crazy
Game 6 against the Bucks was gifted to them in the craziest way.
Truly an amazing and wholesome human being. Mad respect to the guy
He’s the best personality in the league don’t @ me. Good person off the court and plays a perfect heel on the court. Not too nasty, ethical ball and just ask Bucks/Knicks fans how much they hate him.
Yeah fuck that guy
(I hope he recovers)
[deleted]
Him and the Pacers made the playoffs worth watching, too bad they didn’t beat OKC
I hope he comes back healthy with a vengeance
Looks like he’s saying “weird as fuck how many cameras they have” after seeing himself on a screen lol
I didn’t watch the game so I’m not sure of when this clip is from but I thought he said “we’re leaving at 5 minutes left”
Rewatching the clip after your comment - you’re probably right
What’s their record with him in the building, they were undefeated with CC at Pacers games afaik
Until the Scott Foster Game…
she had to leave early coz of she had a curfew, because fever had a game vs the liberty next day. https://youtu.be/597q9a1O0YU?si=SRtktU01OtpFP83l
Ah yes, the Scott Foster game where the Pacers scored 1 field goal in the last 5:00 minutes of regulation, and Benedict Mathurin missed 3 free throws in clutch time on top of committing two blatant off ball fouls.
what does the pacers choking have to do with the refs being on the thunder dick for 3 quarters
Mathurin was in on it obviously /s
Shhhh you’re ruining u/Briggity_Brak narrative
Maybe Hali and Nembhard shouldnt have kept playing hero ball that game, i think hali had an air ball too in that 4 quarter.
Pacers should have scored more and won more games
He better get a statue in Indy
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/YpgAAOSwe9Vlv8a5/s-l400.png
Thunder fans in here compensating for something..
Obviously biased since I’m a pacers fan BUT
They’re a disliked championship team with the youngest franchise in the league. Hali was playing crazy when he went down, they’re on the other end of one of the biggest “what-if’s” in league history, and they’ve been slandered for failing to deliver, and when they had a 68 win season they got hate for the way their team won games.
Obviously biased as fuck, but I think we win that game. Hali was playing with authority. It’s generally lame to put asterisks on rings, but man a star pg assist god with a hot hand going down that early in GAME SEVEN is historically bad luck. Hard not to wonder about what would’ve happened if he was healthy, especially with how he’s stepped up in big moments before
He’s got that look in his eyes…
Like his leg hurt?
Let’s gooo Ty get better soon dude 😎
Tyrese Hijaburton
At least he’s just being a regular fan. Who was that asshole who kept going on the court?
Main character of the nba as far as im concerned
I hate everything about June.
Good news, it’s not. Its Haliburton, one L
He looks like a survivor Jedi
Why he sitting in back chillin like an anonymous sith lord?
He’s the one pulling the strings.
The Haliban is always in control.
That’s a cool fit. Casual but stylish.
Can’t wait for your return, Hali.
Tyrese really nails the recovery fits. He looks like Rocky in a montage. The double sweartshirt? Amazing. He even nailed it on the night of the injury, all swaddled up in towels in the tunnel. Stay comfy Halli.
Remember the Haliban.
Damn this even makes me sad
Indiana eating good this decade with the superstars they have
Glad he’s getting out of the house during recovery
Natasha Howard needs to go back to G League of WNBA. She made some stupid plays this game that potentially cost them the game. That foul on Rikeah literally turned into a 3 point play late in the game. I didn’t mind the foul but if you are gonna jump on someone, make sure they don’t get the chance to shoot after.
Crunk coco in the flesh
Tyrese looks like that guy in the photo that theaters used to feature before a movie started to discourage people from filming
Prob already took another L before he got to his seat.
That clippers(?) hat from homie in front of him is fucking FUEGO
It’s a Dodgers - Kobe hat.
There’s a Mamba snake curling off of the ‘A’, snake skin pattern, and Kobe’s #8 on the side.
Basketball player likes basketball. Ground breaking
Pacers fans: 💀
Wrap your hands around your own throat chump
Y’all leave this man alone and let him lick his wounds
It’s probably a contractual thing…
