[Highlight] Kasparas Jakučionis with his first Summer League bucket off a turnover by Carter Bryant
Carter Bryant 7 fouls in the game
Would fit well with OKC
Nah he’s gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers
Certified bust it’s over
Jeez
If he didn’t turn the ball over he should have been called for a travel, he took 4 steps
Both Carter and KJ had bad games.
For some reason the Summer League coach on the Heat think KJ is a 2 guard.
KJ’s defense was better than his offense, which was not on the scouting report lol
I kept mistaking Pelle for KJ because he had the ball in his hands more while KJ was stuck in the corner. Is this a new coach or something?
first field goal made*
Edit: Fun fact: Carter Bryant has 3 turnovers and 7 personal fouls in the game, thus far (in 20 minutes)
Maybe this is why Carter Bryant never got to touch the ball at Arizona
Kidding, Spurs fans
Thats my bust 😤😤
That off balance 3 he hit was a thing of beauty. Give him time. I think he will be really good with some seasoning.
Bryant was a really puzzling riser for me as a CBB fan first. Yeah he’s got the ideal frame for a 3&D wing and rebounds/defends well. But I just didn’t feel like he actually was good at basketball.
I heard I believe it was Hoop Intellect on youtube put it like this:
Guys with similar freshman year stats/skillset get drafted all the time. They just usually have to do another year or 2 in college to really polish their game & convince scouts they have a legitimate NBA skillset.
Guess the NBA scouts said “Nah fuck that, we’ll develop his game in the league”. He definitely would’ve benefited tremendously from some more time in CBB but the NBA came calling, & Spurs should be the ideal team for him to grow & develop.
he’s a great defender and a good shooter that has great size, athleticism, and youth. Just good value for pick 14
rough game for carter bryant
Is there a reason why the Spurs took this guy in the lottery? I get that he’s athletic but dude played about as much as Bronny in college. Feel like he’s going to be unplayable for his first 2 years.
lol…really? he was mocked in go in the lottery, and even top 10, by most publications.
seems a bit reactionary, no?
They already had Harper as their first pick. Makes sense to take a chance on a high upside guy that fills a need with the second pick.
Who made that pass? Very well placed
Bryson Warren
Hmm. I watch a lot of college & NBA never heard of him
It is because he came off the Overtime Elite league, and in the last 8 months he is playing for the Miami Heat’s G-League team (Sioux Falls Skyforce)
Edit: He also signed for a short stint with the Miami Heat, but never played.
Thanks for the all the helpful information!
that was a nice pass
