Yo!

I’m developing a game, and looking to release in the coming months. One of my goals for the game, is for it to earn enough money to buy some sort of autographed memorabilia of the 2024 championship team. My first thought was something like a framed, autographed Tatum jersey, but i enjoyed the WHOLE team, not just Tatum, so maybe a signed team poster? Do y’all have any cool ideas (maybe know of cool artists that like to work with Celtics/basketball subjects?), recommendations where to shop for them / how to vet authenticity? (Good experiences / bad experiences with shops welcome!)

Sports memorabilia is tough. I wouldn’t trust any COA without getting it checked out by an expert. Checking for live autograph signings and events in your area is also a good idea.

My favorite piece of memorabilia I found randomly is a giant black and white poster from the 80’s of Larry bird and Dr J strangling each other lol. It’s not even signed. Just a high quality poster in a frame.

I didn’t get anything big, but I occasionally collect cards. After they won the title, I bought a nice card of each of the starters and then bought a frame that holds 5 cards. The cards I bought were the 2023-24 Obsidian, Orange Border. You might look for autographed cards or something else from that year. It’s easy to get authentic stuff if you buy graded cards (PSA or SGC).

Here’s the cards I bought. I did buy the orange background for all 5 guys, but I bought other variations as well and I think I put this rainbow in the frame and had it on display. It was up almost a full year. I took it down once they lost in this year’s playoffs. I still love the cards though. I’ll also note, you shouldn’t have cards exposed to light for too long of a period as it’ll start to fade the cards and that’ll kill any value they had.

If you buy different cards (Prizm, Hoops, Donruss, Optic, etc) you may find a brand that has more than just these five. Donruss is one of the lowest cost cards, but I’m guessing they might have Pritchard, Horford, and maybe Houser. Good luck.

And here’s the frame I bought. I found it on Amazon and I did buy it just to put the 2024 Celtics in. I recently replaced them with these cards which I’ll keep in there awhile.
