I played Last Epoch on mouse and key for a long time, then left the arpg scene for a while. In that time I started playing more games on my PC with my PS5 controller, I work in tech so getting off the keyboard is more desirable after work. I played POE2 on controller for the first season and absolutely loved it! Took a break for a bit and decided to give LE another try with their new patch, this time on controller. It didn’t matter how much my friends loved the new patch, controller felt so clunky in LE that I quit after an hour or two.

The feel of controller on POE2 is so freaking satisfying, it just feels right. Being able to functionally use the inventory system is paramount to the success of this type of game, I am thankful.

Graphics, effects and animations really are breathtaking on all maxed on pc. Its so much fun to look at. Sound design is top notch as well. All we need is to wait for all weapons and skills become available in future. Very few available viable skills as of right now, ²⁄₃ of playerbase plays the same few builds. Needs some variety and it will come with time. Otherwise, top notch masterpiece.

Agree 100%. Aside from the inventory management, this game is golden on a console (PS5 here).

Wait until you encounter the trade system and inflation. Good luck finishing endgame content unless you play 7 hours a day every day….

I play on my AllyX a lot, about as much as my PC. I also stream to my bedroom before bed some nights or my living room if I feel like it. The controller feels wonderful and they are still improving it.

It is an amazing game. However, fps drops is a big issue on vanilla PS5.

This explains why I keep playing, while knowing a new update is around the corner.

Cant wait for full release, gonna be a blast! Awesome to hear some positivity, game has alot of potential.

I played ut a year ago and am i playing it through right now and its enjoyed it a bit more last year to be honest. The nodes I need are really far a field so im kind of weak after I get a little cluster of good runes its like 4 or 5 levels of 5 stat points before I get my next bump in strength. I end up rerunning the zone trying to just out level the boss fights or at least grind to my next 10% dmg buff. I have no resistances, or less than 20% and its just the gear in act 2 is not good. I need a 3 socket skill badly i need resists off gear that does just ruin my mediocre build.

PoE2 is the future, just wish a better trading system would be available.

It pisses me off so much I forced myself to go SSF.

Not enough console support for it to really be the best of all worlds. So many advantages to play on PC with 3rd party support features.

I was this excited when the game released. Played maybe 500 hours but I’m at my wits end with how slow trading scene works because it takes lots of time checking all the items’ value, whispering sucks, managing inventory and stash suck as well. I gave up. This game needs a k&m support asap.

I am lucky enough to afford a pc before the 0.3 release tho so I’m all hyped up.

Amen, as much as people are nitpicking this game it almost like they refuse to accept this game is in Early Access. It’s like most of the people that came from PoE1 seem to forget that on full release, you had 3 acts you played each act 3 times giving a total of 9 acts, and there was only a total of 6 characters.

PoE2 has the same number of maps, also has end game content, plus it has 7 characters all before the full release.

Yet I don’t recall anyone nitpicking PoE1 because there were only 3 acts, or just 6 characters, what about the lack of an end game? What nothing? I honestly don’t understand why people are so upset with PoE2, it’s just like PoE1 the only difference is about 12 years, I bet that in 12 years PoE2 will have blown PoE1 out of the water.

Also OP love the positive outlook on the game I wish more players were like you, also wish there were more helpful people out there to help players learn.

Campaign is chefs kiss Endgame then turns into POE1 which is extremely frustrating. I’m hoping they next patch will focus on giving more Campaign acts and hopefully scale down endgame so it isn’t just about getting swamped by thousands of extremely fast mobs and needing screen clearing abilities to even survive. As a d2 player, that is not my style of fun. It reminds me more of D3

They really did reinvent ARPG console controls. Crazy how good this type of game plays with what they’ve done. BTW, you played Diablo 1 on PS1 not D2. It’s okay we’re getting old lol.

I play console and I mapped my dodge roll to r2. Makes a world of a difference than leaving it on circle (ps5). Love this game even with all its faults. It can only get better.

I’m looking forward to getting back into this game once the full version comes out (hopefully) at the end of the year.

I was disappointed to learn that all progress made before 1.0 drops will be sequestered in a special “early access” server that people probably won’t return to once the official release establishes a standard server.
