Pacers went small with Obi and Pascal and they wanted to match up with that I guess. The problem is when the Pacers go “small” they still have two guys that are 6’8 plus, when the Thunder do it they have no one over 6’6.

It’s one of the reasons I really liked the Pacers in this match up. They can match the double big lineup which I don’t think we saw at all today and they can match them when they go small. Plus Pascal is just a walking mismatch a lot of the time no matter who’s out there.

Quite literally the second time this playoffs Mark made a bad decision in game 1 to lose us a game.

The Pacers just kept making 3s to stay within ~10 then turned on the gas halfway through the 4th. I couldn’t believe it

edit: I just rewatched the 4th quarter. It’s not that OKC fell apart, Indiana killed them in the rebound game. I know if you look at the box score, obviously yes it shows that Indiana did very well with rebounds, but they were contesting every single rebound on both ends of the ball in the 4th.

OKC somehow manage to lose a game where they had 16 more shots attempts, more FTs, 16 less TOs, and they shot decent from 3 by their standards.

He was cold too, the Pacers even had Nembhard as the primary ball handler nearly that entire comeback. And still, the moment Hali touched the ball, first thought is “this is over”.

edit2: Also I’m pretty sure the only people to have shot 40%+ in the playoffs is lebron and jordan. Everyone else either has like less than 10 if not 5 FGA (Since ‘96. Someone manually found jordan’s to add it all those graphics).

Pacers didn’t change their pace while the Thunder were just dribbling out the clock at the end.
