You can socket two different Whirlwinds, each with their own support gems, and bind them to different keys

They need to rework ignite, bleed is the big hit aggravate ailment, poison is the multi hit stacking ailment and ignite is just there, it’s just a shitty version of bleed bcs chance to ignite is harder to cap than bleed and the potential damage is lower. Fire spells are also bad and herald of fire is also mid

Poison is good for clear but for bosses it’s a bit meh, try the spiral volley poison deadeye, it’s one of the most fun builds I’ve ever played (single target is trash tho)

Anytime, I use it a good bit. I’m trying to figure out a lightning arrow, and poisonburst arrow build that works great together. Sad to say it’s a slow process at the moment.
But it has a 5s cd, it’s not enough

It’s not really that amazing and it only works because of some jank interactions with Plaguefingers so I don’t think poison is in a really good spot at the moment.
Iām doing over 100k dps with the spear (calculating my base 3400 - 3900 poison dps x 50+ stacks). I donāt use plague fingers.
Build ?
Using multiple caltrops and plague bearer spirit gems on pathfinder. Get all poison, damaging ailments, and hazard nodes. Rest of points go into any physical damage, evasion, and energy shield nodes. Get jewels that buff hazard damage, and poison magnitude, poison duration. I have 2100hp and 1200es, 91% evasion and 75% all res. I just roll around and everything blows up. Plague bearer fills instantly so you can keep spamming it, bosses die in seconds.
Why pathfinder? You already have infinite poisons.
It works but sadly you need giga atk speed and acc on spear to walk faster :(
I followed a crit variant that run’s snipe as single target and it does really good boss damage. Stack crit dmg. since snipe auto crits if timed right and its great.
I feel like weapon swaps really work well to solve this, but they absolutely need to get in the weapon lock QOL, because currently even if it makes your build on swap able to boss and clear very well, you’re either in need of 2 weapons, or manual swap your weapon, or different weapons is possible but usually not viable as you in need of even more skill gems and may be short slots to make it work well.
Iāll never forgive them for changing poison so much and adding a stack cap. Iām not one of the āmake PoE2 PoE1ā dudes but poison was perfect and had an awesome identity in PoE1.

Yes Poison/Bleed/Ignite are all effects that benefit from Single burst, but out of the three Ignite has it the worst, because Herald of Ash and it’s OVERKILL gimmick doubles down on the problem
Poison probably has it the easiest, or DID… hard to say if Bleed or Poison is in a better place right now
Ignite should focus on spreading or stacking DMG..something like real fire
I believe they should have more ‘Stack to burst’ options, like a DPS to Burst… so even if they have low attack speed, but high damage it would will produce an explosion that causes the actual damage
Maybe it could ramp damage based on duration? The longer they’re on fire, the more ignite does.

The way ignite works in PoE2 just feels so bad. Itās almost like itās not intended to be a primary damage source but instead just supplementary damage for all fire builds.
Flameblast got nerfed and then Bereiaās only felt good because of a bug.
Ignite needs some love but I think they are hesitant to make it too strong since it just becomes the default if itās powerful. Burning Arrow ignite or EK ignite as examples
I like how MTG treat burning effect disabling equipment, making a armor-piercing damage type.

Ignite is meant to be design around reducing it’s duration. The less durstion the faster it’ll do damage before you can apply another ignite.
Ignite is the boom ailment with higher potential damage. Armour can be reduced to 0 at most, while fire res can get to negative.
And the one boom got nerfed.

Spear… it’s probably Spear of Solaris, but I wouldn’t really say ‘Fire Spear’ actually exists, as the only other move Explosive Spear, only exists to help prime Elemental Sundering… like Fangs of Frost/Storm Lance… where the whole point is to cause a bunch of elemental ground effects that stacks ignite/shock/chill on enemies so you can blow them all up… aka Trinity Spear… and the potential for triple Herald
Flame blast is technically the best ignite spell but the cool down makes it feel meh was what I was going for
Shock is just Vulnerable damage, change my mind.
Shock is a debuff that provides bonus damage up to a %, effectively making it the best ailment in the game besides maybe chill for groups
personally I avoid it given it’s ease of use, BUT I do like abusing it with a Storm Sorc who can ‘double shock’

How are you gaining combo for culmination?
You just hit with the skill and it gains combo, use practiced combo for even more combo. I have like 5 attack speed so it stacks insanely fast, I’ve got to 500 combo and I think my crit one tapped a delirium boss lmao
But culmination support says lose all combo on use, how come you don’t just instantly lose combo

maybe it has something to do with snapshotting the whirlwind, have you tried just using your “main” whirlwind and test if you then lose combo
cause otherwise you’re basically doing anywhere from 3-1500 times the damage you should be doing by keeping the combo stacks and it’s essentially what’s allowing you to kill the mobs

Other than the acc stacking this build uses 0 broken or unfair interactions, if they nerf falcon dive from 1% for every 250 acc to 350 or smth the build still works, if they nerf the shield to only give 50% more acc then we can take the 25% more action speed node and remove the shield so it also works
I bet this build is not getting completely gutted even if they try it, it will maybe require more investment to reach this state but unless they completely remove falcon dive it will still be there
EDIT: I just tested the build without the helmet, I still one shot everything even with a bunch of wasted nodes on the tree. Apparently I only need the damage for bosses really
Everything they nerf, they always gut. They can never sensibly nerf anything. Last patch they nerfed Spark, Archmage, mana stacking and ontop of that they also literally destroyed fire wall even though that was 100% unwarranted. It would have been enough just to nerf archmage and mana stacking and leave Spark and Wall alone, but no. Absolutely destroyed.

Flame wall nerf is 100% warranted. If you actually see the numbers and do the spreadsheet it was insane. The only reason it wasn’t more popular was the existence of even more insane stuffs in 0.1.
No it was not. I completely disagree. It’s borderline useless now, not worth casting. Before it was actually good. They nerfed it by 100%50% which is an absurd joke. Meaning: the old version did 100% more added damage than the current one.
This is typical GGG. Literally ~5 years from now there will be a patch that buffs it again by 80% when they finally realize they completely unnecessarily obliterated it, and it was useless as shit for 5 years straight due that, and then they go woops that’s our bad. The helmet has very little range by default (and wonāt scale with generic AoE), so no surprise there lol. Your attack covers the screen.

Only downside of fire version is the setup, not the speed.
Fire version is less atk speed (so less ms) and has the setup, other than that it’s higher damage yeah
This one can’t ever kill pinnacle bosses without using some other skill while the fire version melts even T4s
Also this one has better instant damage to explode monsters out of existence
Overall it’s a choice between a more well rounded build with fire or maximum speed and clear with this one

This clip (which is not even his last setup before he started a new character) is way faster than other variants, and arguably he can get more speed but he doesn’t want to invest more so people can follow his build.
Lightning damage variant can get more speed after investment, but you’re jailed by weapon DPS in order to kill monsters, fire variant can ignore weapon dps for aspd, accuracy and dex for gemling.
Have you tried this for Simulacrums? Looks great for it, assuming damage can be scaled without breaking the bank.

Culmination is bugged yes, it still deals a shitton of damage without it due to proccing herald of thunder rlly fast, if they nerf it I’ll try a call of the brotherhood and remove 2 electrocute gems from herald to buff the damage even more. It’ll still clear but it won’t instantly delete random delirium bosses like this one
Also keep in mind I have deepest tower that I’m not using 99% of the time, if I get some more presence aoe my damage would literally be tripled
