for how much bad talk there is about the guy, he’s basically ‘underrated’ now

but then he still makes this years ‘most overrated players in the league list’

KAT was largely the same way.

He definitely has his issues (foul trouble, sometimes gets a little passive or out of control), but the Jimmy Butler bullshit fucked up the public perception of him for a while.

Like, in his 1st playoffs he played poorly, but was also doubled regularly because Jimmy was garbage. Then his 2nd playoffs was up and down, but he averaged 22/11/2 and 2 blocks on elite efficiency, but people didn’t care. His 3rd and 4th saw him rushing back from serious injury (and actually playing pretty well, especially last year pre-Dallas).

It’s funny how similar they are despite having such different games.

He’s a solid 2nd option player with size. People shat on him because we expected him to be #1 carrying a team.

KAT was the only reason when we were down 20 in game 2, we weren’t actually down 40.

That was the reason I hated the trade at the time

People forget how mid that ‘21 Knicks team was, and how impressive it was that Randle carried them as far as he did. In that Hawks series everyone not named Derrick Rose played terribly, with Bullock and Burks forgetting how to shoot, IQ wilting under pressure, and RJ being awful, including a negative +/- every game. Randle looked bad because he had to legit do everything himself, and the Hawks knew it.

Been a Knicks fan for a long time and that season will always be a favorite for how unexpected it was, and I’ll also always be a Randle fan. Glad to see Wolves fans appreciating him.

i thought this team was cooked when they got randle. i still think a real big man will pick this team apart but randle has been so impressive. i just wish he’d take like 15% speed off his passes lol

Bully ball Randle is the best Randle. His first All NBA season his shot was amazing, but his last Knicks year working with Brunson really unlocked him maximizing his physicality, decreasing his 3PA, and limiting some of the bad shots he had been taking.

Wolves fans were the worst for this, they legit acted like they traded away Luka. I’m still heated from those first few months, now all Wolves fans are asking for his extension and it doesn’t sit right with me.
