Stats don’t lie
team responds to be punched in the mouth really well tbh & tatum says he likes the road more
Theres that one guy in the Garden that the mic usually picks up that think hes a coach for this team
My conspiracy theory is that too many of our guys have young kids at home. When they’re in Boston they’re tired from doing parent things the night before. Road games they get a good nights rest in a nice hotel instead of waking up at 3am for a crying kid.
That’s a great theory, my theory is Tatum and Brown feed off the energy of the home crowd when they get a huge lead (20 pt lead, for example) and the cheering sends them into “ooh kill ‘em” mode where they try to cook their man 1-on-1 to get a big highlight even more love from the crowd. On the road with the crowd against them, they’re a lot more professional, they value each possession a lot more and they don’t go on side quests in the middle of the game.
That’s my genuine theory, none of this is a joke. I’ve watched both of these dudes play almost every game since they got to Boston, and that’s the pattern I’ve noticed.
Real
Yes. I choose to believe they’re not good at home because they are good fathers
The Bruins also lost a lot of big playoff games at home
Not for four years though and flukes are more prone to happen in hockey as compared to basketball. You know bouncing puck and all.
That’s because those Bruins squads were soft frauds.
Real fans have gotten priced out of TD garden. I mean, it kind of happened every where to some degree, but Boston is probably one of the tamest crowds now. Too many rich people bringing their kids
Wouldn’t that make it closer to an away game? The hostility frightens both the away team and anyone on the home team too much in their head. Remember when the Red Sox signed Rentaria way back when and it was such a big deal because he was the clear best SS in the league and we threw a bunch of money at him and it turned out he couldn’t handle the home fans. It sucks, but that’s what we got. Our top guy can’t handle the Boston crowd in those big games that a regular season game can never prepare him for.
Tatum just dropped 35/10/8 in a home game. The best(or second best) game of his playoff career was at home vs the Sixers in a game 7.
We better come home tied 2-2
-21 of that -41 were these two games.
Knicks have been way better on road lately as well
And pretty bad during afternoon games all year so feels like Boston is going to be in better shape Saturday
but also who knows the way each team has looked and with how crazy the Garden will be
Well win one game for sure o
Stats lie a lot…
It’s so weird how it’s not even a home court advantage thing. They just don’t lock in once they get a lead at home. They’re far too casual and lazy
They aren’t physical enough… surely not in the 4th…
Down 2-0.
Knicks in 4
Go home
You can sweep us and you’ll still have a poverty franchise with a bunch of ringless bums
