We just aren’t hitting shots. I still think the shots we are taking are fine. If a team gives us open 3s we take them. That’s the philosophy that got us a championship last year.

Knicks are ²⁶⁄₆₈ on 3s and we’re ²⁵⁄₁₀₀. We’re just not executing.

Maybe I’m just an optimist but I think we’re going to start hitting shots before the series ends. The Knicks can still win if we’re hitting shots but they have very little room for error.

For context, the 2024 Knicks were going on the road after going up 2-0. They lost Robinson in game 1 and OG in game 2. They did not have KAT or Bridges on their roster. Brunson was essentially playing by himself. This is not the same team.

Shooting variance can still swing back our way. I expect the Cs will win most games they shoot above 35% from 3.

Just have to hope our guys stay out of their heads and start nailing the wide open shots.

Knicks lost because Brunson, Hart, and even OG were hurt on an all ready depleted Knicks team at that point. Context is important, the Knicks haven’t had a fully healthy team for the playoffs in how long?

So much negativity in here, and while being mad at how we’ve played is perfectly fine, people are taking things way too far, to the point of attacking others for not being negative. We’re playing terribly. We struggled against Orlando and that was the first sign of real trouble imo. Something has happened in the last month or so that has really change the dynamic of the team. Idk if it’s Tatums wrist, KPs illness or that we just fucking suck but we clearly are not the same team we were last year and I think everyone needs to accept that.

With the way the Knicks and the nba have been talking this would be beautiful just hit 1 or two more threes a game and we are up 2-0

I don’t want to depend on our 3 point shot anymore. Just how we said against the Heat “they can’t remain this hot from 3, it’s unsustainable” we can also equally remain cold from 3 for the series. Yeah the problem is Joe is too stubborn to fucking change his game plan or to tell his stars to attack the hoop. He’s fallen in love with the contested fade aways just as much as Tatum has and it’s fucking us. An open 3 even when you’re on a slump makes sense but contested ones that aren’t falling should be drives to the paint. Joe has no control over the offense and it doesn’t help when he can’t even use his fucking timeouts. I honestly would be okay with us losing as long as it means we get a coaching change

only 2 out of 5 of the starters in that series are in our current rotation lol. Precious Achiuwa and Miles mcbride each started 2 games. Donte was our second leading scorer and Josh Hart was bringing the ball up when Brunson was on the bench.

This showed up in my feed. I’m a Knicks fan. Not coming in here to pretend the Boston Celtics suck or anything. Clearly they’re elite and dangerous, but I just want to point out that the Knicks got absolutely wrecked with injuries last year. They were up 2-0 and OG went down with a quad injury in game 3, I believe. Bogi went down, Robinson went down from the previous series bc of Embiid grabbing his legs, and Randle was out and missed the playoffs entirely, and by the end of the series even Brunson and Hart got hurt.

The Knicks were also missing og, Mitchell Robinson, bojan, hart at the end of 6 and injured during 7. And lost Jalen during 7 to a broken hand

in Vegas still hs this series as even money. It’s pretty wild that they think it’s even money for the Celtics to win four out of the next five games.

Knicks blew that after winning their first two home games. Totally different beast coming back after blowing 2 home games to start.

This is giving me the vibes of Miami 2023 where might win one in NYC and start to make it a series but the sheer fatigue it will take to actually complete a comeback means could fall at the last hurdle.

Obviously being down 2-0 sucks, but this series still feels completely winnable.. we can get 20 point leads then we just have to stop missing an insane amount of shots, tighten our shot chart a bit and we should be good.

Mitchell Robinson injured for rest of playoffs in the previous series (Joel Embiid dirty play), and lastly Julius Randle was out for the playoffs… thats the entire starting lineup
