It was troubling that Kawhi barely touched the ball on offense down the stretch.  Just Harden dribbling out the clock with no off ball movement, and then going iso or swinging to Norman Powell for a last ditch attempt.

But the defense was on point so I can’t say we didn’t deserve to win in the end.

This is by far the best first round series in a few years. You could see this being the round 1 series to watch from a mile away, but my Lord nearly every game has been intense leading up to game 7.

For real man! Clippers played to not lose rather than play-to-win. Felt like every possession down the stretch, they were just milking the clock. Which is a good thing, but how they went about it pretty much killed their flow and momentum.

Whiplash from being +34 when the rest of the starters were +17-18 last game

To be fair the dude is playing with one arm. He probably shouldn’t be playing at all, but they probably don’t want Watson out there instead of him for all those minutes and don’t really have anyone else who’d pick up the rest.

Dude it was that egregious 4 minutes into the 3rd. He was a -21 while next worst was -6. It was insane

Because they were scared to turn it over passing and as long as they made a defensive stop they were going to win the game. Jvg svg is an idiot. They also close every game with iso ball, it’s not new lmao.

Shooting early and missing good shots just makes it that much easier to lose.

Part of it was harden being gassed. He played whole second half. Other part was they didn’t put joker in one pick and roll that last 5 min. Have no idea why…

Nuggets have gotten a better whistle most of this series but it obvious the calls really favored the clippers this game

Except when they were giving touch fouls to the Clippers. The pinnacle moment when Jokic was surrounded in the paint and fouled repeatedly by 3 different Clippers but it wasn’t called into a Kawhi phantom foul on the other end sealed the game.

He was good this game, like not even in a “gets rebounds and hustles”, he just objectively played a solid, efficient game.

Jokic has got to take some of those open 3s. Zubac/ Clippers are playing him for his pump fake & drive, and it’s ending in lots of turnovers, tough ISOs, or a worse 3 point shot. It’ll also save his energy - his IQ is off the charts, but it’s a head scratcher. It’s infuriating.

Yeah idk. Had an open one late but passed it up to charge when they were crowding the paint. Might be a mental thing from overshooting 3s in the wolves series last year or the Olympics

No one was getting calls. You can see not any player got more than two shooting fouls. It’s frustrating but I would say it’s at least pretty consistent. Kawhi and Harden were also getting fouled on every drive.

there was several where you could’ve made the case but nothing jumps out as an obvious egregious missed call. the clips shot 15 FTs (to the nuggets 9) and at least two of those were intentional, so it’s not like the FT disparity was crazy unbalanced

Watching Van Gundy get all excited to show the replays of Zubac great defense just to watch him rake Jokic over the arms repeatedly and smack him in the head and go silent was pretty funny though.

Batum is one of the smartest basketball players I’ve watched. The dude just knows how to impact a game.

He played all but one minute of that game, had nothing left. Surprisingly common harden pattern is just completely gased end of 4th as coach lue overplays him.
