They don’t reward head jerking. The exaggerated contact points out the fouls that happen so they get called more. It also increases the likelihood of fouls getting called where there are none.

Not exaggerating contact is the same reason why Steph doesn’t get calls as often as he should. Him and Ant don’t sell contact. Rather, they play through it. The refs often times don’t see it so it doesn’t get called. The league either needs more referees or some sort of digital way to detect fouls automatically. That’s the only way it can become equitable

Paolo and Cade actually can get to their spots.. even against elite defenders. Edwards can’t even against liabilities it seems as pathetic as that is. Reaves, Luka, Rui, throw whoever.

The only advantage he has over those guys is his 3 ball.. which is his wild card to bail him out of the fact he has overrated burst/first step and no consistent spots on the court. Give me the big playmakers who can’t be guard 1 on 1.

Don’t think him getting single coverage on an empty side would make much of a difference. Especially when he’s blowing as many finishes at the basket as he has so far. Game 2 showed that when they made it a point of emphasis to not over help on his drives

And yes that’s be a great result to have Paolo over Edwards. He was drafted 2 years after Edwards and has already made the post season twice. If he was on a team with 7-8 starting level players I’d imagine we’d of been in the same spot and took a few more games off Dallas at minimum.

Paolo is a mismatch nightmare. Edwards is not due to his small stature and overrated quickness..

Ant was good but he’s still leaving so much on the table, he’s so passive on the perimeter. Only at the 2nd half of the 4th was he really consistently attacking the defense. I had to watch wayyy to many possessions where ant dribbled nowhere for 5 seconds, passed to a teammate with no advantage and then he would just stand there and watch. Ant needs to be in attack mode for atleast 75% of the time if he’s going to take the next step.
