Nowadays trucks in America are mostly a dick measuring contest for males with insecurities.

Every time I see a huge Ford truck with those terrible LED headlights on a literal city street or suburb, it makes me laugh, because in no way do any of these men need a truck like that living in that area, you can’t even park it on the streets, it’s too big and blocks traffic.

The cybertruck is basically the end game of shitty American truck culture. It’s the bastard mutant lovechild of tech bro culture mixed with toxic insecure truck loving but wear new balance sneakers male culture. It’s an abomination that has no actual use case other than making people hate you.

Now, I lived in the Mountain/Forest area in Northern California for a couple years, and I had a super clean rebuilt 1986 Toyota pickup and loved it. Back in the 80s, commercial trucks weren’t these huge monstrosities like we have now, they were smaller, thinner, and you could actually park the thing in a normal parking spot without taking up 3 spots. It’s a shame I had to sell it, but the age of it was making things fall apart left and right internally and Im not a truck girl, so it was costing me too much money to fix.

Anyways, yeah, fuck today’s trucks, fuck cybertrucks, and fuck the government.

Heavy duty trucks are used every day. Electric, gas, fiber, repair crews can’t run hydraulic booms with a Tesla.

The problem is they’re also used by guys who work office jobs and just want a big vehicle.

From what I understand, those don’t work on the Cybertruck’s reinforced windows.

Hadn’t heard of that story before this comment. Apparently she backed her car into a pond and had an 8 minute phone call with friends/police and as the water level continued to rise she said her goodbyes. Wild stuff. 

There was an incident in SF recently where I think 2-3 kids died because they were trapped in the Cybertruck, one kid didnt even have bodily injuries from the crash, just suffocated to death.

Not sure if you’re being facetious or not. Accidents are going to happen regardless of this particular scenario which is why vehicles are designed to a certain minimum level of safety standard. At some point when the design is so shit and it’s banned in separate continents over safety hazards, yes it becomes the cars fault.

A) We don’t know what happened, B) not all crashed cars crash because of the driver’s fault.

It’s not a smart design to sell a car, a product that will inevitably be involved in a crisis situation, where people can end up trapped inside.
