From what I could tell, Shai took offense to Dennis’ foul with about 27 seconds left. SGA thought it was over and was loosely avoiding the D while dribbling it out. Dennis fought over a screen and made decent contact, including to SGA’s knee.

Following that, Dennis arguing that he plays til the game is over, and SGA that it was indeed over, and there was no reason to make that play.

They play just as physical on defense as OKC does, and it all starts with Ausar Thompson. If he doesn’t get all-defense, it would be a crime.

They play physical defense like us, I enjoy watching them.

The non Shai minutes basically boil down to “are the three’s falling” if yes, like most games since Jan 1, we look goated, if no, like tonight, it’s a tough watch

A bit of an outlier… the non-Shai offense was a concern early on, but it’s improved all season and has been very good for a while.

Credit to the Pistons for playing hard and doing well to slow them down though. Good, tough team… fun to watch, even shorthanded.

Dennis has been asked to do a lot lately. Not having Cade is obviously huge for that, but this game we didn’t even have Sasser to relieve Dennis.

I think he is still building up strength in his legs. The explosiveness isn’t there from when the season started.

part of this is also him making a concerted effort to get the ball on the floor and play downhill, which when he gets going unlocks a ton of offense for this team

It has been inconsistent for sure. As long as he isn’t taking actively terrible shots, I can live with it while he rounds back into form. We really don’t need more than 15 points a game from him.

lol it’s crazy because he was so good to end the year last year. Think he was top 5 in the nba in corner 3s last year and this year he can’t fucking shoot at all. It’s frustrating

They are locked in the 5th or 6th seed and can’t move up or down. Cade was the only one resting/hurt although I think he is a little hurt. Stewart, Holland and Sasser were suspended.
