Sam Hinkie is Silvers father. All you had to do was limit the number of consecutive high picks you can get to limit a lakers/process type tank. Flattening the odds just moved the goal posts

I mean, flattening the odds kind of makes it less enticing to tank hard, because now even the worst record doesn’t guarantee much. It’s just this draft is supposed to be so good that just a top-10 pick may easily land the future face of a franchise for multiple teams.

And despite doing that the Raptors went 10-5 in the month of March and realistically should have gone 12-3(blatantly lost the Por game, and barely lost the Was game as the game winning shot was a fraction of a second too late). 2 of the other 3 game we got our asses kicked, and we played GSW hard, but they are a better team and won against our starters.

He’s been significantly worse this year. His rebounding and fg% are way down. He’s been clearly checked out at times and just outright committing dumb fouls and mistakes during this tank season. Way worse of a defensive presence, his defensive numbers at the rim worst since his sophomore season. He’s a -11 on/off, Nets have been much better with Sharpe on the court.

D’lo has shot like trash but he’s been a good playmaker and ball handler for a team that really lacks offensive talent. You guys look much worse when he’s not on the court

Yea the Nets have very little talent, and for a guy like Claxton who is super dependent on having guys set him up all his stats are gonna suffer

He’s also one of the few players on the Nets who has a contract for beyond this season so he’s super nonchalant some games

But he’ll also have stretches like last month where he averaged like 3 blocks a game

He still would be one of better bench bigs in the league (although I have a feeling he might be starting for a playoff team next season instead)

Even with D’Lo the Nets offense is putrid

I think he has less impact then Watford tbh, especially if you take into account defense

But like I said, we’re tanking, so it’s been great that he’s been so bad

I do think he’s been negatively impacted by the team and would play better on a team with more expectations and talent, but watching him while rooting for your team to win is so frustrating and his current play has been just disgusting to watch. Maybe his play would be better elsewhere, but currently he’s been a big reason why the Nets have been able to lose games and has been outplayed by quite a bit of the Nets roster this season. Obviously great for Nets fans though.

Eh, Watford is more turnover prone as a ball handler and doesn’t set other guys up anywhere as well. Even someone like Cam your 1st option benefits a lot from having D’lo as a ball handler as most of his buckets are assisted. Feel like when I’ve seen the Nets in the clutch without D’lo, they’re a lot more prone to turning the ball over and struggling to make the right decisions. D’lo also just offers a bit more shot making versatility that few other Nets players have, even if he’s been struggling a bit there.

We’re 8th in 3PA despite being dead last in pace

I think Watford is more impactful, because he can actually create his own bucket without multiple picks, and they’re all usually quite easy, since he just bully balls his way into the post

D’Lo is great at pick and rolls, but beyond that it’s mostly just foul baiting for points, he has the more versatility sure, but actual shot making, he’s done very little of that on the Nets (thankfully), and his defense is as meh as ever
