Why would we want another slow unathletic non-shooting big man? And for $30m? Poeltl plays well on his tanking team because there is literally nobody else there to score any points a lot of the time, and he had that one 30 point game against us (his career high), but in our system and the way we’d play him he’s just a second and arguably lower iq version of Luke. For triple the price. If we get any big man I want walker Kessler and even then I’d prefer a shooter, but Walker would at least improve our rim protection and be consistently better than our current backups.
