Scoot looks by far the best handler/offense initiator the Blazers have.

Another really good game by Jalen, his shot seems the most real it has ever looked both from three and the midrange.

He’s the only actual willing initiator/playmaker we have really, which is why he looks much better when we don’t have the anti-ball movement players in like Ayton and Ant. Ant was forced into it but he struggles at it and it isn’t really natural for him.

Eh, I like Deni as well. Coming into the draft I thought he could be a big PG like Shaun Livingston. Portland really misses him right now. Been their most consistently positive player this season.

Problem is any real minutes we’ve given him have been bad. He’s shooting 37%/27% on the year and doesn’t bring anything else. He has 6 FTA on 124 FGA, with half of those being intentional fouls.

Problem is we’re trying to win every game. He really needs to be on a bad team that isn’t worried about winning so he can figure things out. I don’t believe he is this bad but giving him real minutes has cost us games.

Before the season most Rockets fans hoped to reach the playoffs through the play-in.

I won’t be mad if we lose in the first round agains a team like the Mavs, Lakers or Wolves. A competitive series will be a huge thing for the development of the young guys.

I think we could actually do decently in the playoffs going for a grit and grind grizzlies style game. Really slow down the game, rely on Sengun post ups and offensive rebounds. Then we hope that we get 1+ games where Jalen catches fire

I’d be really curious to see how Sengun does defensively though. He’s been great, but I’m certain teams will try to go at him in the playoffs. If he struggles defensively then we’d be in trouble.

For real, they’re really doing amazing for how bad overall a shooting team they are as a unit and come playoff time when things slow down, defense is more physical (to the Rockets advantage in this aspect of it), it’s gonna be even harder to get production inside and they may get exposed.

You still gotta be able to make shots even if your defense is stopping the other team

We need a better playmaker to make any noise. I’ve seen Fred attempt a couple of lobs the past few games (rare) to no avail. That skill alone would be invaluable to this athletic, young team, and we’re not moving past OKC in any round without it.

Looked rough that first half, but good to pull through. We did lose at home vs. the Blazers earlier so can’t underestimate them on the road. Jalen and Sengun continue to play well even with no Amen.

Really glad to see Tari back and play well. Great to get that production from him when the rest of our bench wasn’t really doing too much in the first half. The defense and rebounding we know, but I liked what he showed with the passing and self creation tonight as well. He has plenty of development room as well and it’s great to have him back and playing well.

I don’t know what the hell Dillon was on tonight, but it was working. Usually don’t like him taking such a big role on the offense, but the shot went in so can’t complain.

And even though the shot didn’t fall well, Cam Whitmore continues to contribute outside of scoring. Good trend and hope he becomes a bench regular even once Bari is back.

Portland has to be intentionally tanking because Scoot looked like their best player and only real playmaker. He should be starting. When the as I he brought some life to the Blazers.
