3 pt shooters are like relievers in baseball sometimes; there’s a reason guys like Kyle Korver are so specials.

Wade’s a good defender/rebounder who can spread the floor on offense. He’s just been in a bad shooting stretch over the past couple weeks. Ideally he’s a wing that comes off the bench but the Cavs are thin at the wing position.

Merrill has shot terribly all year which is why his minutes have decreased throughout the season.

I understand not being a Merrill fan since he is inconsistent and his main strength is shooting but Wade? I mean Wade does his job, he defends, he rebounds and passes the ball. He doesn’t really make mistakes by forcing stuff up, so yeah can’t hate on Wade.

Yeah, don’t know why they traded without knowing. But at the time Timberwolves probably didn’t expect Cavs to draft another PG when they had Sexton.

Cavs must have wanted too much as well after they picked him. I thought it might still happen after. But true that the Culver choice didn’t help anything else happen.

I think the Cavs do that with a lot of teams. Close in the first half, and then they just keep it offensively while the other team cant hit, resulting in like a 20 point lead in the fourth.

The problem is that the Cavs lack Bird rights because his contract was too short. Their only real chance IIRC is if he is willing to sign for the most the Cavs are allowed to offer, either on a fully guaranteed deal, or do a 1+1 so he can opt-out and resign the following year to a better deal.

So basically, he has to really want to stay, or the Cavs have to get lucky and he doesn’t get any big offers.

The Cavs are gonna have some more ugly losses in their future, something definitely got shook loose after they won vs okc in Cleveland that they haven’t been able to find again. At times they play like the team that won 15 and 12 straight, and at times they play like they’ve had a lobotomy.

Cam Johnson would help with some of those niang/merrill/etc minutes when those guys forget how to play above their role, but I doubt the cavs are getting him.

I’ve got no doubt they’re going to get their mojo back, but its going to take getting punched in the mouth a couple more times for it to stick.

You can’t be serious. Cavs were shooting at historical levels, off course they would have to cool down but even on rough nights they pull through. OKC played that game like game 7 NBA finals but for the Cavs it was just Thursday.
