They just simply cannot shoot right now for whatever reason. After knocking down dam near everything last year, can’t hit shit this year.

Open, in rhythm 3s sure. I love those shots. The kind that PP/Hauser tend to take.

But every game, it seems that 25% of our attempts are forced. Like there is a crack of daylight (or a side step) and we just bomb away. DWhite and Tatum seem to be the primary offenders.

Tatum has declined overall as a jump shooter and it really started happening 3-4 years ago. Can’t get separation off the dribble the same and hasn’t been as good from 3 for a while. His motion just looks stiff and clunky most games and he doesn’t have the midrange for it to not matter. Hasn’t shot consistently well from three since the 21-22 postseason and doesn’t shoot as well off the dribble as he did earlier in his career from everywhere. Really think it’s the added muscle overall restricting his movement and fluidity but that isn’t coming back. Huge difference in the ease of his release and off the dribble moves if you watch his highlights from the first 3-4 years of his career to now. Unfortunately, they need his three point shooting to be a great team and he needs it since he isn’t an unstoppable athlete getting downhill and finishing
